Had a great experience at Chameleon Restaurant & Bar! The service was warm, attentive, and made us feel really welcomed from the moment we arrived. The food was just as impressive — the fish and chips were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, and the Philippine chicken was full of flavour and cooked beautifully. Definitely dishes I’d come back for. It’s also a great place to chill and gather with friends or family — relaxed atmosphere, good vibes, and perfect for a casual night out. Overall, a lovely spot with delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming ambience. Highly recommended!

Hidden nasi lemak spot at Balestier Road uncovered! Chameleon serves up affordable nasi lemak set from just $6.50 — and yes, it even comes with a drink from 10AM–4PM daily. This underrated café-bar deserves a spot on your radar. What we tried and enjoyed: 🍗 2PC CHICKEN WING SET $8.80 Marinated with more than 10 spices, the chicken wings are lightly coated and fried till crispy outside while staying super juicy inside. Served piping hot too! 🐟 SALAR FISH SET $8.80 Fish came with good crisp on the outside and it is a full fish of good size. 🌶️ MUAR FISH OTAK $6 Soft, fragrant and packed with flavour with chunky fillings. 🥩 MUTTON RENDANG $4.50 🍆 STIR-FRIED EGGPLANT $2 🥬 STIR-FRIED LONG BEAN $2 🥘 CURRY VEGETABLE $2 Their nasi lemak uses fragrant basmati rice and paired perfectly with their homemade chilli that’s tangy with a punch. Portions were really generous for the price, making this such a solid affordable makan spot in Balestier. 👍

Hard to come across banana leaves serve together with a dish charging at very reasonable prices. Food is fantastic and so are the vibes. Will make us keep coming back for more whenever pass by Balestier Road. Will add into one of our regular places for makan and alcohol 🥰

Had a really enjoyable experience here. The food was nicely prepared and tasted great — simple but satisfying, and you can tell some care went into it. The portion was decent as well, making it good value for what you’re paying. The environment was another highlight. The place felt clean, comfortable, and relaxing, with a nice window view of the street that adds to the overall vibe. It’s a great spot to just sit back, chill, and enjoy your meal. Service was also very good — staff were friendly, attentive, and everything was served smoothly without much waiting. It made the whole experience feel easy and pleasant. Overall, a solid place with good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere. Would definitely come back again and recommend to others.

Came back here for the second time just for the lamb chop! still damn good. Juicy, flavourful, no complaints at all, especially for a bistro with so many options. They even have a new nasi lemak lunch now, quite a nice addition. Drinks are cheap and actually taste proper, not those diluted ones you get elsewhere. Also, the manager Ashok is very friendly and helpful, can even understand Chinese, which makes everything a lot easier. Solid place, will come back again.
