Cosy atmosphere and delicious peruvian cuisine. Notable dishes include the artichoke salad, grilled octopus leg and ceviche. Seafood soup and confit duck rissoto were abit salty but the soup goes well with the fresh complimentary bread. Waiter was attentive and gave us bread and water refills promptly. All of us love the coconut cake as it was light, cold and soaked up the sweetened milk.

Canchita is a beautiful restaurant in Dempsey, with efficient and helpful service. Lots of unique dishes that you don’t find anywhere else in Singapore. The drinks menu is reasonably priced and the earl grey mocktail is a must try. That said the food is good but not great. We felt that many dishes just need a bit more lime, sauce, or salt to be truly elevated. We found that when we asked for and added those things our selves the dishes tasted much better. The sauces are the highlighted esp the chili sauce that come with the tacos. Overall though it’s a nice date night spot or a nice venue for diner with friends

Totally enjoyed the experience. Service is impeccable, food is great, ambience is amazing.. and of cause with my dearest, what a way to spend our 28th Valentines day celebration, except not on the actual day. But that's fine. Would definitely be back again!. You don't have to wait till an occasion to celebrate life.

Came here as a group of 6 to try peruvian cuisine which was new to us. The environment in the amazon dining room was quite nice, lots of greenery outside and inside. It was a busy night and quite noisy but we all could still hear each other talk even though we were right in the centre of the room. Service staff were.... average I would say. Attentive but not super personable. The drinks were ok, the early grey tea was quite refreshing. The margarita tasted more like an alcoholic mango smoothie. The food- The Starter bread with some oil (not sure what exactly) was served when the first person in the group arrived like 15mins early, so by the time we all sat down to eat it had gone cold. I didn't think much of it, but when we asked for another portion to mop up the sauces from the other dishes, it arrived freshly toasted and was crispy outside and so fluffy inside, it was so good! I think bread should only be fired when everyone is present and ready to eat otherwise you lose the lovely crunch and aroma you so love from freshly toasted bread. Octopus a la brasa; tender and tasty but personally I felt like the portion was too small for a $38 dish. I've had octopus at a few other restaurants and although it is usually served the same way (a tentacle) this is the most expensive but smallest sized one so far. The crunchy quinoa accompanied the soft octopus very well. Beef tacos; i did not try but my sister liked them and said the beef was tender. Not mind blowing, just okay. Ceviche clásico was delicious. Plump fresh fish, very bright and punchy sauce, lovely sweet potato chips and mash. Overall my second favourite dish of the night. The canchita corn was so interesting! Negro prawn ceviche was also delicious and tangy, but I preferred the fish as the bite of the fish was a bigger chunkier cube and more satisfying. The prawns were halved and laid flat so the mouth feel was slightly less satisfying. However, still a very tasty dish worth trying. The sauce was so delicious we ordered more bread to mop it up. Crab reventado; the crab was well fried and plump, accompanied with a nice sauce and tapioca chips. And okay but not special dish. Mariscada mixed seafood dish; squid, fish, octopus and prawns in the same aji amarillo sauce as the crab dish. The seafood was so tender and plump, and the gem lettuce and almonds gave it a lovely contrasting crunch. A very solid dish that was well liked across the board. Arroz con pato; it was like a herby risotto with confit duck. The duck was tender, and the rice had a nice bite and well seasoned. Also well liked by all. Lomo saltado; wowww!!! This was deliciously indulgent and probably the group favourite of the night. The beef was sooo tender and rich and salty. The fries perfectly thick and crispy outside and fluffy inside, and they soaked up the rich cantonese sauce perfectly. Even the onions were delicious. Best dish of the night for me and everyone else. Sudado de pescado; this seafood soup was slightly disappointing :( it was not boiling hot which i think contributed to the lack of oomph. Yes the seafood as always was good but perhaps compared to everything else lacked a real kick. One dimensional is how i would describe it, we only finished it because we got more bread to dip in it. I would want to come back to try their other dishes!

It was such an awesome dining experience here - the delectable food, the vibrant atmosphere to the friendly service crew. The dishes we had are truly fabulous. Singapore is undoubtedly a food paradise, proving there is no need to travel far for an authentic taste of Peruvian cuisine. Reservations are definitely required and the restaurant was completely full when we visited on a Friday evening.
