It’s warm here but the food made up for it. The noodles are flavourful and the taste of the beef and the tripe are excellent. The noodles are springy like hand pulled feeling and the chilli wonton is very soft and again well flavoured. The brown sugar mochi was also springy and soft. Prices are very reasonable. Much better than those ippudo ramen which like for a few pieces of char siew cost an arm and leg.
Xiao long bao quality was poor, lotus soup was not rich, beef taste was too strong and spicy for our liking. For the set, it is free flow drinks, but you need to ask the person to get you new cups of drinks, which was a challenge when the staff was busy. The ice cream was nice though, but for the price paid I think we will go somewhere else next time
A famous chain from China, but the hot dry noodles weren't traditional, so it was disappointing for me. They also didn't have a dish I wanted to try available. I was hoping to get a taste of home, but the most traditional thing I found was the mung bean soup. The dishes we tried were decent, but it wasn't amazing. Service was friendly. Prices were very reasonable. They're open early, but it can be difficult to find this place.
The beef noodles are genuinely good. The broth is rich and comforting, and the beef is tender and flavourful. Taste-wise, no complaints. That said, the portion is rather small. For the price, I was expecting something a bit more substantial. Another downside is the air-conditioning. It doesn’t seem to be switched on most of the time, so the place can get quite stuffy.
Not much crowd in the afternoon. Tried its signature lotus pork rib noodle soup, pan fried bun with egg yolk, soup dumplings and mung bean soup. Generally dishes were not too salty and delicious. Grab Tues dine out also gets more than 35% off.
