We enjoyed a lovely early mother’s day dinner at Butter & Spice (Siglap) today. We had made a reservation so we did not have to wait long for our seats. The interior of the restaurant charmed us and the service was impeccable. Food came late but was understandable as it was full house due to the celebration. The kind manager came to apologize and generously compensated us for the wait. The food came hot and fresh, so so tasty and well presented. Will definitely be back soon.
The food was very delicious, with just the right amount for three people. We ordered the Carnivore Platter and loved the variety it included chicken, prawns, and fish, and everything was lovely. We also had a lamb dish Rogan Josh which was very nice, and paired it with garlic naan the perfect combination. They also offer a 1-for-1 Hendrick’s at 13++, which made the experience even more worth it. Great food with very reasonably priced drinks. Special thanks to Prince, who recommended everything for us. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Good food and excellent service.
Had dinner last Sat for 3 people. It was what a good Indian restaurant should be, simple and yet delicious food with friendly staff. Ordered Papadam, Chilli Cheese Naan, Garlic Butter Naan, Palek Paneer, Holy Butter Chicken, Prawn Briyani, Fish Tikka, Chicken 65 and few cocktails. All of the food were excellent with the exception of the Briyani, I personally didn't feel it was traditional enough, something was lacking. The cocktails were also lacking the punch. Other than those 2, I personally liked everything else we ordered. Kudos to Preeti who was extremely attentive and so friendly being our server. She even stunned us by speaking smattering Cantonese which she picked up from her years in HK. Was told that she works in that Siglap outlet only on Sat/Sun. I would go back to this place anytime for a good Indian dinner.
Came on the PH for lunch and we were pretty much the only customers. Food was good but food service was a litttle slow - they mentioned it was due to the chef having his first day. Worth a visit if in the area and craving Indian food.
Singapore’s F&B scene is always on a constant change. What used to be a steak place is now serving Indian cuisine. What I like about this area is the quietness. And being an easterner, there are many food choices without needing to travel far. I wasn’t too sure of the high ratings but it turned out to be really good. The butter and garlic naan is probably the best I have eaten - piping hot when served and it is light and crispy. The recommended tandoori chicken which is tender juicy inside and perfectly braised mutton rogan josh are very satisfying. I will head to their other outlet at Katong next time.
