After all these years, I finally decided to visit this establishment. Located in United Square, it has been one of the mall's longest-standing tenants, alongside McDonald's and Cold Storage. I had always been curious about this pub, even before United Square underwent its renovation, as I would often walk past it on my way to McDonald's. Some 30 years later, I finally gave it a try—and I'm glad I did. The service was warm and attentive, the food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the ambience was spot on. The rustic bar setting, complemented by warm, dim lighting, created a cosy and inviting atmosphere. To top it all off, there was a live band performing on Saturday night, which elevated the entire dining experience. A hidden gem that has been right under my nose all these years.
Great vibe and excellent service! The live music was awesome—they played our requests and sounded amazing. The owner is super friendly, and the bar snacks are really flavorful. They have a massive beer selection, and the staff gave great recommendations. Definitely coming back!
Old school pub that sells many diff countries beer. Price is like 15++ per bottle so considered steep. Sit indoor with 1 piece band. Outside bit hot. Food is ok. Walk frm mrt is abit distance. Recommended only if u wana explore many diff beers.
Great atmosphere with an authentic German pub vibe. The place is lively yet comfortable, making it perfect for a casual meal or drinks with friends. The German food is hearty and well-prepared, especially the sausages which pair perfectly with their wide selection of German beers. Service is friendly and attentive, and the staff are knowledgeable about the menu and beer recommendations. Overall, a solid spot to enjoy good food, quality beer, and a relaxed pub experience. Highly recommended
Our first time visit . Sausages were not salty ( my greatest fear !). They were flavorful and paired well with the potatoes and sauerkraut. Knuckle was meaty and yummy. Cozy and homely feel . Enjoyable evening.
