Had a wonderful dining experience at Aburi-En in Jewel Changi Airport! The aburi (flame-seared) dishes were absolutely outstanding — perfectly charred on the outside with incredible depth of flavour. What impressed me was their menu variety. Unlike many Japanese wagyu BBQ restaurants that focus almost exclusively on beef, Aburi-En offers a fair selection of poultry and pork options too, so diners with different preferences are well catered for. We tried two ramens — one with pork collar and one with pork belly — and both were grilled to a perfect tender texture. No matter which cut you go for, the pork is cooked just right! That said, the grilled chicken was a slight letdown. The thigh pieces were noticeably small and felt like pre-packed chicken rather than fresh, which was a little disappointing compared to the quality of the other meats. The presentation was beautiful and the staff were attentive and warm throughout our visit. Overall still a great spot and highly recommended — just stick to the pork or poultry alternatives over the grilled chicken! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Service and atmosphere were great. My table was attended promptly and the ordering process was easy. My steak could be serve a little raw since it comes on a sizzling plate so that it will not be overcooked. Overall still a great experience for me.
Had lunch at Aburi-EN and ordered the truffle wagyu don and Miyazaki wagyu. Both were really good—the beef was tender, rich, and nicely torched with a smoky aroma. The truffle added a nice extra depth without being overpowering. Service was quick and the overall experience was smooth. Would come back again 👍
Delicious food, good service. The pork was very tender and had a lovely grilled aroma. The rice was soft and the sauce was flavorful.
Ordered 3 meals, 2 for the kids (chicken and mentaiko buta) and buta and eel for me. Very tasty. I thought it was great value and will revisit and recommend to friends. The total for the meal was $48 without taxes and $58 with. Portion sizes was decent and the buta in particular was really excellent.
