Best braised pork rice I’ve had in SG. The sauce is rich and very flavourful, the braised pork melts in your mouth, and it’s exactly like Taiwan’s. Fried century egg is freaking nice. Never seen it done like this before. (i think its new/seasonal item) Sesame noodles fell flat. Basically HDL sesame paste + noodles. Nothing special. Drinks are MUST ORDER too. The boba milk tea and honey green tea are better than most brands. Authentic and cheaper than other Taiwanese places in SG. Definitely order the braised pork rice!!! ps. service is literally coffeeshop standard - so dont expect greetings or anything 🤣
Affordable Taiwanese fare! Would recommend the scallion oil chicken rice for its fragrance! The braised pork belly here is soft and luscious too. Honey green tea was refreshing, although I feel that there’s too much pearls for one cup… The chicken cutlet was thick, though I would prefer more seasoning on the outer crust.
Classic Taiwanese fare. I ordered braised pork rice and salt pepper chicken. Firstly, the braised rice meat was delightfully fatty and it came with enough sauce to cover every grain of rice. There are also some pickled radish for acidity between bites. Overall, the dish was done well, although it got a bit too cloying at the end as the pickles amount was not enough. It is also leaning a bit towards the sweet side with stewed onion flavours, while I personally prefer savoury flavours. The salt pepper chicken on the other hand was done remarkably well, served popcorn chicken style. The marination on point, a little grilled salt flavour. The chicken, not overly greasy, slight crunch, not batter heavy. Chicken could be juicier though. Overall, good place for a Taiwanese fix.
Liked the signature grass jelly. Must order hot version. Very nice. Brown sugar based. The rest of the food, find nothing special or surprised. The salted chicken abit disappointed as not much flavored. Tasted like fried chicken cutlet cut into small pieces and refried. Don't really taste the 盐酥seasoning.Brinjal floss, could be softer abit inside.
Have ate here a couple of times and honestly find that prices are reasonable~ I like their Oyster Mee Sua, Lu Rou Fan and Shallot Oil Chicken Rice! As mentioned by a few others, their vegetable dishes are salty though 🥲 that’s probably one thing I may not order again. The other items are pretty standard.
