Check out my other reviews at @pandareviewsfood 7 Tavern: 8.1/10 I finished work at 9 pm. As one expects, there really isn't much good food open at such a late timing. I opened Google Maps as a Hail Mary and found this place just right beside me. I love you, Google Maps, for finding me this gem. Moonlight Kuey Teow ($12): 8.3/10 I didn't expect much from pub food, but I was shocked at how good this was. It was simple, done well. The lard is fantastic, perfectly crispy and rich in flavour. This, along with the strong wok hey made this such a luxurious meal to eat. The chilli isn't anything novel either, just heat with a bit of acidity. However, this was just what was needed to make the wok hey pop even more. With a pint of Guinness, this is the perfect late-night meal to have. I understand that some people might not enjoy this place due to the rowdy atmosphere. Nevertheless, if you are just looking for a decently priced meal in Novena, this is perfect for you.
A Hidden Gem for Local Bites and Cold Beers Tucked away from the tourist bustle, this small bar-restaurant delivers a truly local experience. The atmosphere is laid-back, with just enough buzz to feel alive without being overwhelming. Their menu champions local flavors—each dish feels like a home-cooked classic, elevated with care. Standouts include the signature HKM, bursting with spice and soul. Service is prompt, friendly, and genuine—staff treat you like a regular even on your first visit. The beer? Ice-cold and affordable, the perfect pairing for a hot evening and spicy plate. Come for the food, stay for the vibe. A perfect spot to unwind and soak in the local flavor.
Came on a quiet Wednesday night. The staff are very friendly. This bar is good to hang for drinks and all. It’ll get a little loud when the band plays (they’re only playing from Thursday night onwards and the bar will be really popping the).
What an amazing place filled with such warmth, great service and fantastic food. The chicken herbal soup was absolutely SPOT ON, bursting with robust flavours that go so well with a bowl of rice. The staff and owners are welcoming, making this place feels so much more than just a place to have food and drinks. It truly feels like coming home to a safe place. Will definitely return to try their ever-changing seasonal menu!
Good service good food! Drinks can be better - had the lychee martini and seems a bit diluted. Live band started at 8:15 pm and the place is full! Do make reservations if you are coming on weekends.
