"Visited Munchi Pancakes @ JW50 on the 30th of April 2026 Special shoutout to staff Sidah☺️ for her casual demeanour and recommendations! Here’s what I thought of the 5 Pancakes I got! 🥞 *All pancakes were brought home & preheated before consumed 😋* A. The ones with Smooth filling: • Red bean Ming Jang Kueh ($1.60) 3/5 ⭐️ Might be sweet for some, paste is smooth, yet the occasional red bean piece is a nice texture. This reminds me of childhood days. • Original Custard munchi ($1.80) 3/5 ⭐️ Mild flavour, not sweet. Smooth texture; Comforting. Custard-lovers will appreciate this. For me, I am more of a fan of the munchi pancake itself; this is my first time having it as opposed to the usual MJK style I always order B. The ones with Crunchy filling: • Original Hazelnut Munchi ($2.20) 4/5 ⭐️ (Recommended by Sidah☺️) Mild, not too sweet! Texture is cookie-like; similar to Biscoff - that left me questioning on & off if I was eating a Biscoff munchie or a Hazelnut munchi😆 I believe there is a mixture of different ingredients in there and not 1 singular one - to achieve the texture but not the high amount of sweetness as you would usually find with a Biscoff spead- which is the perfect balance in my opinion! Not a paste, but more of a crumble. Good recommendation! • Original 🥜 Peanut MJK ($1.60) 4.5 ⭐️ Pancake beautifully soaks up the natural oils of the peanut filling, making it moist and wholesome with every bite. The filling is Fragrant, just the right amount of chunky - and great ration of spread to give that perfect marriage of pancake-to-filling; having a dance 💃🏻 in your mouth 🤌🏽👩🏽🍳 C. 🆕New flavour: • Original Kopi Munchi ($2.20) 2 ⭐️ Underwhelming in general, I did some reading - it’s inspired to create a Nanyang-style coffee experience, by using Kim Guan Guan traditional roast. Being a Kopi O Kosong lover, I would chalk my indifference for this flavour as a preference to my bitter-loving taste-buds 😂 However I am able to appreciate sweetness (I.e: Red Bean flavour) Overall, the flavour is not sweet, creamy enough - however not bold or rich. It tastes like kopiko candy somehow, but less strong. Overall, just a suggestion- that the shop could have better source of warmth for the food on display so that customers will be able to fully experience the product at its best state 😁"

"Food was good. The cockles & chicken curry bee hoon was delicious. Wasn’t informed about the free cendol but wasn’t a sweet tooth anyway. The kuehs were not available tho."

"Wow, the sour and spicy fish here is absolutely delicious! 🌶️ I could easily eat multiple bowls of rice with it. 🍚 The century egg with eggplant 🍆 is also a must-try. Their large iced lemon tea is super refreshing, though it has a lot of ice. 🍋🧊 Overall, a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely be back! 😊"
