Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine 湘香湖南菜 @ Lot One

First time trying Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine at the Lot One outlet and honestly, it was a really enjoyable experience overall. The food was flavorful, served hot, and every dish we ordered tasted good. The highlight for me was definitely the fish, crispy outside, soft inside, and the sauce paired really well with it. The mala flavor was fragrant and tasty without being overly overpowering. The bamboo shoot dish and tofu were also surprisingly addictive and went really well together. Even the hazelnut bun was a nice touch to end the meal. What made the experience even better was the atmosphere and service. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and enthusiastic throughout the meal. They patiently recommended dishes and explained what would suit our preference, which made ordering much easier for first timers. Another plus point was the complimentary snacks and ice cream after the meal. The staff were super friendly when we asked if we could take a little extra, and they happily told us to go ahead, which made the experience feel even warmer and more genuine. The total bill was around $100+, but after joining their membership, it came down to around $80+ for 2 pax, which felt quite worth it considering the quality, portion size, service, and overall dining experience. Overall, definitely a place worth revisiting if you enjoy flavorful Hunan cuisine with great hospitality and a comfortable dining atmosphere.

Repeated visit at Lot One Xiang Xiang. Found their service staff all more friendly and warm than those in West Gate in conparison as i frequented both outlets almost every month. This time round we had early dinner at 530pm and got table after ard 25mins of wait as it was a day before Mother's Day. Dishes we ordered: Golden saureet fish soup(slurpy & flavourful), tiger prawns tossed in honey sauce(springy to bite), Angus beef slices w garlic & chilli (savoury as usual),sliced potatoes tossed in mild sour n spicy sauce(yummy!),stirred fried you mai veg & long bean(alright but not impressive), steamed egg with prawns drenched with sesame oil and soya sauce(it is delicious but over time the bowl grew smaller & prawns shrinked in size). Overall these dishes with 2 pots of rice fed us 8 pax very full and satisfied stomachs. Point point only $150+, very reasonable pricing with good food fare execution. Will recommend for any that likes Chinese dishes with good value. Will be re-visiting regularly provided their food standard and portion do not shrink further.

Service & Extras – Fantastic service, plus free flow of chips and ice cream! Dangerous combo… I came for a meal, accidentally stayed for dessert around 3. Stir-Fried Pork – Not too oily, cooked just right. Flavorful, tender, and easy to keep going back for. Cauliflower – Slightly on the oily side, but still nicely crunchy. Tomato Broth – Made with real tomatoes, giving it a natural sweetness that feels oddly healthy (I’ll take it). Comes with beef and rice cake—basically a comforting, protein-packed dish that goes great with rice. 暴浆滋耙 – Crispy on the outside, with warm brown sugar flowing inside. Sweet, messy, and totally worth it. Overall: Came for the food, stayed for the free snacks, left very full and very happy 😄 Slightly too much for 2 pax.

The century egg and chilli mix was still good but feels not as good as I remembered. It was a little spicy which I don't remember being like that at the bugis outlet. Spicy chicken was superb. Not the crispy deep fried kind and went really well with the mushroom. Cabbage oily but well seasoned and crunchy. Signature pork and mushroom stir fry also seems less flavourful compared to last time. Sour fish was okish, fish a bit rubbery and firm. Not their best dish I feel. Big glass of lemon tea doesn't feel like it's 800ml, so kinda like a false advertising. Overall taste and flavour suits Singaporean tastebud, that's why the queue and fast expansion. Will definitely come back for the food.

Food is usually okay. Every dish is nice. Spicy but still acceptable. Some staffs are overly attentive trying to clear off plates even though we havent finish. I felt a little uncomfortable and also dont experience this in other place. When the manager know this and talk to us and express his apology to us. Customer recovery was swift.
