Amazing collection of planes. Good audioguide and love that most of the item have stories attached to it. Some are very rare. Extensive collection and parts. Low season and felt we had the space to ourselves. We came on January 2026 and the stimulation was not accessible. Nonetheless the collection, interactiveness on learning how flying works, was enough for us to explore within 2 hours. Great work by the team to collect and restore these!
The museum is okay, but it's very, very small. It's nice to visit if you're already in the area.
Really interesting aviation museum with old aircraft, helicopters and jets in 3 hangars. Nothing is cordoned off, you can walk all around the exhibits which come from around the world. Very pleased to see English translations on the excellent information boards (rare in this part of the world). Staff very helpful. Very nice cafe selling drinks and cakes. Good value too.
For all tech lovers, I definitely recommend a visit. My husband was delighted. 4 large halls with various aviation equipment and not only. There are interactive activities for children. Information is available in the form of a guide and dubbed description in English. There is also a simulator, but we didn't try it, it is paid separately. The entrance fee for adults is 12 euros per person. The car park is free and accessible.
We enjoyed the museum although the ticket entrance lady was very aggressive and shouty with us (for no apparent reason)! It’s not huge, but we spent a couple of hours looking at the exhibits with both German and English descriptions and it was very interesting. It’s easily walkable from the town centre and it was very quiet on a Wednesday.
