Wärtsilä Sustainable Technology Hub

All Wärtsilä portfolio engines are manufactured in this technology centre. That incorporates robotics, automation, and intelligent production control systems, resulting in efficiency and operational safety. In addition to its advanced manufacturing capabilities, the technology centre also houses a training centre - the Wärtsilä Land & Sea Academy - and one of Wärtsilä's Expertise Center - a globally serving remote monitoring center for our customers. An amazing place, where high technology and the spirit of collaboration are used to focus on the customer’s success. An unic experience to visit this place on 2024!

Newly made main site built by Wärtsilä, made to host the company's reception, offices, dozens of meeting rooms, and the internal restaurant on the second floor. The building is connected internally to the production site, and it's a short walk away from all the labs. Quite pleasant to the eye, also allowing for a nice and cozy work environment. Connected to the city via a couple of bus lines, as well as via the freely available company bus.

Wärtsilä's Sustainable Technology Hub (STH), a new integrated centre of research, product development and production. STH is the latest tangible step in Wärtsilä's path to drive decarbonisation in the Marine and Energy sectors.

The Land & Sea Academy at Wärtsilä Sustainable Technology Hub is at the forefront of technological training on new systems for developing and producing eco-sustainable energy. Wärtsilä is a world leader in the construction of next-generation internal combustion engines. At the Vaasa plant here in Finland, I had the opportunity to study and experience firsthand the technological excellence of this brand. The instructors are highly qualified engineers with years of direct field experience. The quality of the environment and work life at the plant is absolutely excellent. Wärtsilä Factory is excellence in the fullest sense of the word.
