SHOP LOCAL!! This gem of a local family owned business on the 2nd floor of the Holland Rd Shopping Center is your go to spot for all things hardware!! Ever hate going into these mazes and trying to find what you’re looking for? Problem solved!! They don’t try to upsell you to the more expensive product. They actually know what the heck they’re talking about and gave me great recs on the perfect tape and drop paper to prevent dust accumulating in my closet. Rather then push me towards the more expensive double sided gorilla tape the young man at the shop showed me some cheaper tape that would do just the job and not ruin my walls when I remove it. Love this place and the honest product suggestions!!! Customer now for life

Dropped off my film at Joo Ann Foh upstairs and they recommended I pop in here to ask if Jeremy can fix the hinge of my film camera. Jeremy managed to find a speedy fix and was super friendly and helpful. Thanks so much!

Had a tricky plumbing situation that needed a quick and fuss free resolution. Came to the shop and chanced upon Jeremy. Jeremy was extremely knowledgeable and could instantly give recommendations that could resolve the issue.

Jeremy was beyond helpful - patient and knowledgeable with a great sense of humour! It was my first time shopping for hardware, so it took me a million years trying to figure out what nails or screws to purchase. But Jeremy never once made me feel unsmart nor rushed. He also communicates in multiple languages (English and Chinese were used in my case), which really helped with my purchase. Thank you for your kind service and excellent customer care - I was so happy with my purchase, I immediately revisited Variware for a second purchase the next day! (Took a lot less time cos I learnt my lesson and just brought the actual piece that needed nails/screws to their shop and asked for advice haha).

Best DIY shop around. Each time I visit them, they’ll provide me with a solution to problem faced. Best is that I can WA them beforehand to seek for advice before heading down. Recently, the screw provided by ikea were too short to set up outdoor bench, ikea failed to help despite waiting for 20+ days with no follow-up (long story), Variware managed to recommend the right screws to solve my issue. We need local businesses. We must support local businesses!
