If you're in the board game or TTRPG space, I highly recommend working with Vala on any of your marketing needs. I will summarize by saying this: Grant & the team went above and beyond in helping us have our company's most successful crowdfunding campaign we've ever had by far -- we went from $80k previously to $269k with Vala. As an indie TTRPG designer and publisher, we've crowdfunded four different projects prior to working with Vala and worked with a number of marketing agencies throughout that time, all of them making big promises, but failing to understand our product and, when push comes to shove, unwilling to pivot when we weren't seeing the results we were expecting or hoping for. This is not the case for Vala. Grant and the rest of the Vala team clearly spent time understanding our game, its appeal, and how we could play to our strengths and improve upon our weaknesses to better communicate our value proposition to our target audience (an audience they helped us better identify!) To Vala, marketing is clearly more than "set-and-forget" Facebook ads and sending a few emails. Grant provided expert-level advice to us every step of the way. He connected us with partners that helped lead our campaign to success; continuously checked in with us about our progress, his concerns, and potential opportunities he saw; gave us insight into our ad performance (which we were VERY satisfied with); and so, so much more.
