Unnie Korean Restaurant

Tried the yukgaejang, Korean pancake, sundubu-jjigae, and budae-jjigae here. Everything tasted good, with flavors leaning a bit on the milder side not too strong or salty, which may suit some preferences more than others. Prices are quite fair, and most dishes come with rice, making it a nice spot for solo meals. Portions were generous, and the owner was friendly too. Overall, a comfortable and satisfying place to eat.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with a sincere smile from staff and promptly invited to a seat. The food came quickly and is of high quality, such as the army stew and ginseng chicken which we ordered. We were also provided with complimentary side dishes and drinking water. A staff member personally came to assist us with the task of setting up the stove for the army stew, while answering all questions with a friendly smile. There is a lively atmosphere as catchy K-pop music was playing in the background. Recommended place for authentic Korean food.. will visit again!

Ordered fried chicken and army stew for the meal with my friends. Very limited portion. Chicken was very nice but overpriced. Army stew was full, specifically full of vegetable and soup. We went in a group of five, each of us only ate ONE piece of meat. From the whole pot of army stew there were only five pieces of meat!? There were only one packet of instant noodle in the soup too. Food is really crazily overpriced. The owner’s service is extremely questionable too. It was really nice of her to keep us “well fed” with the food we ordered, she just kept scooping from the stew into our bowls, basically our bowls were filled with vegetables and soup!! She even started conversations about politics which were really inappropriate.. Upon making our payment she generously gave us drinks and asked us for google review too. But guess what, the drinks were expired and she was touching my friend while showing her the google review QR code to leave her good review... hope unnie’s owner reflect on your actions, it would be nice of her service if there were appropriate portions of food for the price and no questionable conversations! I truly hope other customers do not experience the same too!

Visited the restaurant this afternoon. The atmosphere was quite authentic. Order the Ginseng chicken soup, steam egg and kimchi Jigae. That is lots of house flies flying around and terrorising our table and the food. See pictures attached. We have to keep chasing away the flies while eating our food. The overall experience is very terrible and definitely will not come to the shop again.

Anyeonghaseyo. My 1st attempt at Unnie Korean Restaurant yesterday evening. We ordered a soft tofu jjagae +rice and kimchi pork belly + rice. Superb delicious and it has homecook taste. Very authentic and will go back for other dishes soon. To the lady boss, kamashamida for your generosity topping up an extra rice for me 😘😘😘
