It was very nice walking here. There are a lot of shops on the street and nearby. I also saw some cute cats and dogs along with two parrots. The umbrellas were vibrant and the area was clean. There are also many other places to visit nearby and a lot of things to do for free.
This is a VERY asthetic street that is well done and makes you feel you're in a fun place. The places generally are a bit overpriced but that's to be expected on such a nice street. Would recommend coming and checking it out and supporting some of the locals as well. I came on a weekday afternoon and there were not many people at all which was GREAT.
Very pretty street you can easy walk to from Taino Bay port. Friendly tourist police everywhere will guide you. Don’t let all the taxi drivers and people who want to take you on a walking tour scare you off. It is only about 5 blocks from when you leave port area. The street is so lovely with pretty umbrellas hanging down along the whole block long street. Free to enter.
A highlight in Puerto Plata and worth seeing. We just walked through, but you could definitely spend more time here. It did feel pretty crowded though!
Typical tourist destination in Portal Plata. Walking distance to the Cathedral and pink street. Ok to wandering around. But not worth to visit if plan to come specifically. We walk around to kill some time after the cruise shoe excursion.
