TSUTAYA Nakashimaten

Good selection of foreign foods, games, and natural products. Also they have the standard video, comic book, music CD rentals. I think that this Tsutaya has a very nice selection of English movies and dramas as well. The foreign food section consists of "hip and in season" hot ramens or sauces. The natural food has nice jams and other assortment of goodies.

Every Wednesday morning, there's a group of regulars who borrow dozens of new books at once. They put all the new books into their baskets, then take out the ones they already have multiple copies of, even though other people are waiting to borrow. They're incredibly inconsiderate of others. Regular, sensible customers have simply given up. The store is aware of this situation but doesn't seem interested in changing it. I've even witnessed arguments between them.

I went to try my luck with the lottery. For the first 30 minutes after opening, I was told that each person could only get 5 tickets and that I would have to rejoin the line. I understand that, but I didn't understand the point of having to rejoin the line when there was absolutely no one behind me. Addendum: The morning staff couldn't even say "Welcome." It's a real shame because the evening staff are generally very nice people.

It's appreciated that there's a limit on the number of times you can participate in the lottery, but if there isn't also a limit on the number of times per group, then ultimately, the same people will end up drawing all the tickets. When children and parents are all involved, even with a limit of 5 draws, there's nothing we can do. I hope you'll consider this.

I wandered around there while shopping. It seemed spacious and had a wide variety of products.
