Hot weather w ice cold beer shiok. Hokkien mee yummy but prefer to have lesser yellow noodles. Satay nice w the peanut sauce. Chicken wing a must order whenever I drop by. Dessert - waffle too hard, not sure if it’s not mango season half sweet half sour with vanilla ice cream.
Bark café is an outdoor restaurant with a bar and has many local and its own unique offerings. I have visited more than 3 times. The first time, I ordered the Satay and Seafood pasta. Portion sizes were adequate and the seafood was fresh. (Prawns were among the freshest I’ve tried in SG). Fish and chips were also very good! Crispy outside and soft inside absolutely not dripping with oil. The only thing it’s missing is mushy peas. Even with the afternoon heat, there were enough fans to keep the place cool enough to enjoy eating outdoors. The waiters and waitresses were friendly albeit not as quick as other places in serving us. (Even though the restaurant was barely half of its full capacity.) They should quickly offer iced water to patrons upon entry as it was scorching outside! On our repeat visit, service was much much faster. The bill came to more than a hundred for 3 Pax. Overall a good experience. I would likely visit more often if there was a loyalty scheme or the prices were reduced.
The Bark Cafe offers comforting, well-executed local classics in a relaxed, leafy setting—ideal for a casual lunch or laid-back meal. The Silky Seafood Hor Fun was excellent, with tender rice noodles in a glossy, savoury gravy, generously laden with fresh seafood and a subtle smokiness that reflects proper wok technique. The Mee Goreng was equally impressive—robustly flavoured, well-balanced between spice and savouriness, and distinctly fragrant with wok hei. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience and a reliable spot for satisfying Asian comfort food.
Great place for a relaxed meal with overseas colleagues I visited The Bark Cafe with my bosses from the US, and it was a great choice. The outdoor setting is laid-back and welcoming, perfect for casual conversations and team bonding. The atmosphere felt relaxed but still professional enough for a work catch-up. The food was solid — generous portions, good flavor, and served fresh. Drinks were good too, especially for a chill afternoon. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The location is nice and away from the usual city rush, which made the experience more enjoyable for my guests. They liked the vibe and the food, which says a lot. Good spot for informal meetings, team meals, or just a relaxed hangout.
Luckily Bark Cafe was round the corner- we had great food there. The mee goreng was something special- very tasty and a generous portion. The angus beef risotto also done nicely tender and risotto flavourful. Saw kids ordering ice cream cone and had to get one too! 🍦Kudos to the service team here- all very polite, attentive and food arrived promptly!
