This is a review after 3 visits trying different types of food. Service is casual and friendly, and ambience is wonderfully refreshing set in the cooler and fresher air of Tengah farms area. The grilled food is consistently good with the grill imparting a nice smokey fragrance and flavor to the grilled chicken 5⭐ and sausages (wonderfully juicy and we'll seasoned , the chicken satay 5⭐(highly recommended + good peanut sauce), grilled prawns 4⭐(a little dry but amazing chilli 🌶️🔥sambal dip 5⭐). The freshness of the accompanying salad vegetables and the fruit rojak 4.5⭐ is evident (maybe farm fresh?). The mushrooms 5⭐ accompanying the grilled meats were really good. Other notable mentions: Fish and chips 4.5⭐ Soft shell crab pasta 4⭐ Chicken wings 5⭐ A hidden gem that is a little tricky to get to without own transport but well worth the visit.
If you think Singapore doesn't have a countryside, think again. This might be one of the only few places to get away from the city. This cafe is quite cozy and offers fairly good food. I recommend to give the chilli crab pasta a try. While you wait for your food, go take a quick look at the plant nursery next door; great variety at affordable prices.
Really enjoyed the lamb! It's meat falls off the bone, and is almost crispy while juicy. The creamy mashed potato with fried seaweed was delicious, and overall has a striking tomato flavour and acidity. The classic satay is cooked to perfection, and gives me vibes of being in batam. The clam and prawn pasta was cooked well, but the sauce slips off the pasta hahhaa. The gyudon meat was thin and fatty, the rice was a bit overseasoned and dry. Service is good, the server brought out a propeller to fan a persistent fly away from our table xD! And helped us navigate the online ordering system. Open environment, but hard to get here without private transport. Has parking, and the washrooms are maintained well. Good place to bring someone to, has a live band after 7pm. 3 mains, 1 side and 3 drinks set us back $122, but thr was no regrets on our end.
Had our Company Christmas Gathering in Ten+, away from busy urban area - not buildings etc. Peaceful place when you arrive. Thankful to YL, Fabian and all yr staffs. Great hospitality. The arrangement was centralised for us to mingle around. Also thanks to the live-band, actively have fun w us. We have positive feedback in Good Food n Good service. Laksa live stations n BBQ food! We have enjoyed our evening. Thanks again. Merry Christmas n Happy New Year!
This restaurant is located deep inside Sungei Tengah and is hard to reach without transport. We arrived around 8pm and were surprised to find it quite crowded despite the ulu location — and there was even a live band. A café in a kampung‑style environment is refreshing and rare. Of the three dishes we ordered, the Shiok‑Shell Chilli Crab Linguine was excellent (coming from someone who doesn’t usually appreciate pasta). The Chicken Satay featured thick, meaty chunks instead of the usual thin, fatty versions found elsewhere. The Old Street Mapo Tofu Donburi paled in comparison and can be skipped. I would have given a 5‑star rating, but had to reduce one star due to the service recovery. When we pointed out that they served 9 satay instead of the 10 stated on the menu, they simply smiled and said sorry. It felt a bit short‑changed, especially since the satay wasn’t cheap — one stick comes up to about $2.16 after service charge and GST.
