Definitely not a true italian experience. Food is average. Seafood “risotto” was just yellow rice sitting in melted butter with some steamed seafood around it- no flavor at all, no richness risotto should have, and the steamed mussels weren’t really fresh; tartuffo pappardelle tasted a bit better, but wasn’t plated, was literally dumped on the plate. Definitely felt rushed out of the place. At one hour mark we were asked if we wanted plates cleaned up while we clearly still have food on our plates and still eating let alone my full glass of martini in front of me. We we’re bugged every 3 minutes clearly hinting it’s time for us to go. At some point a lady at a bar told the hostess to hurry up and get her a table. It seemed like a popular place, and it got busy towards 7. Either set up a limit on dining time like it was during covid 😆😆 or something, but don’t breathe down the guests neck to leave. Make it an enjoyable dinning experience. Overall not a good experience.
Great experience overall! The atmosphere is beautiful and the place feels very welcoming. The food was delicious and the drinks were perfectly made. Special shoutout to the bartender David, his friendly attitude and excellent service really made the night even better. Definitely recommend!
Must Read Review! Unbelievable is the best word to describe the service my family received at dinner tonight. This was our third visit to Tartufo, but our first time being served by Hope—and she was the difference-maker. Her ability to create a genuine, authentic atmosphere transformed what would have been a typical night out. Into an unforgettable core memory for my family and me. It was reminiscent of that vacation feeling—the kind you don’t get in everyday life. Beyond her natural ability to connect with people, Hope demonstrated a deep understanding of the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations tailored to individual preferences. Her attentiveness in pacing each course should not go unrecognized—an often-overlooked detail. Having worked in a kitchen myself, I understand the chaos that unfolds behind the scenes. What may seem like a small component to an excellent dining experience in fact speaks volumes. Signaling a well-oiled back-of-house operation that coordinates seamlessly with the servers and runners. To top it all off, the food was outstanding—the quality you’d expect from the North End, without the headache of finding parking. As a foodie, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates first-class service, exceptional food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Special thanks to Hope!
Henry was personable, Knowledgeable, amenable, kind, and a very interesting server. We enjoyed connecting with him. Seafood was amazing. Pasta was delicious. Atmosphere was just right with a great music selection
Came here on Valentines day. Limited menu. 20 dollar drinks. Thought the food was good, however we thought the waiter was a dud. No personality whatsoever. Was he a bot??! After the friendly girl we had the night before at a different spot this was noticable.
