Had a delightful lunch at Saturday House in Ubi today! Their lunch promotion at just SGD16.90++ was definitely worth it. The Teriyaki Chicken with rice and spinach was flavorful and comforting, with tender chicken glazed perfectly in a savory-sweet sauce. The Creamy Spicy Prawn & Salmon Pasta was another highlight — rich, creamy and packed with fresh seafood with just the right touch of spice. What made the set even better was the inclusion of soup of the day and complimentary drinks, making it a satisfying and affordable lunch experience. The restaurant’s nice atmosphere and cosy ambience created a relaxing dining environment, perfect for a casual meal or catch-up with family and friends. A lovely hidden gem in Ubi for good food, value-for-money lunch sets and pleasant dining vibes!
Food: Been here several times and always order the spaghetti carbonara and truffle fries. The carbonara is unique because it has chilli padi inside which i like the taste of. Truffle fries iw fragrant and crispy. Service: I always request for more chilli and no mushroom. But the service standard here varies. Sometimes they read the request, sometimes they dont bother. Today i got 2 small pieces of chilli padi and a chock full of mushrooms. Atmosphere: live band every Wednesday and Friday.
Nestled in a quiet location. Food is very good! Every dish we ordered is so tasty. Just amused that the vongole comes swimming in a bowl of soup
Fish and Chips, truffle fries, 2 cream of mushroom and a root beer float for around $75. A bit pricy but the quality and service here made it worth it. Truffle fries is crispy and well seasoned, carbonara is creamy, fish and chips is great but I wished the fish is crispier.
I'm a little mixed as I give this review. There are things that went well. Food wise, the mushroom soup, salad and agio olio was decent and tasty. The fries were crispy but a bit too deep fried, and the burger patty was very meh. The service staff was decent, she was friendly, polite and smiley, but was either blur or inattentive. Watching me stand and walk over to ask for something - no initiative to approach... when we asked for status of our order - she asked if we ordered it, but did not come back to us. So it was not unpleasant, but a bit of a perplexing experience.
