Republic Bar Singapore

The staff go out of their way to ame you feel welcomed! They're very accommodating towards guest wishes! The beef wellington is superb and I'd recommend their champagne by the bottle! It's at a great price for the quality of bubbly!

Visited in Jan 2026 Visited with friends. Ended up trying quite a few cocktails from their drinks menu. Their signature cocktail menu is quite extensive and you have quite a few options to choose from. The drinks were decent on average. Some drinks were really good while some had a bit of questionable taste profile - it is a matter of personal preferences I guess. My favourite drink was the Strawberry Fields. The Food menu has some light bites and appetisers. We ordered a few dishes to accompany with the drinks. Service was quite good. Overall, a decent bar.

Was really excited to try the food here but went away a tad disappointed as the food was not really as great as the ratings shown on DiningCity app. It was a set menu and the appetizer of the crab and quail egg salad came plain with vegetables only. I was quite shocked and thought I gave the order incorrectly to the service staff. The chef forgot to add the crabmeat and quail egg and other stuff into the salad, not the kind of service I expect from Ritz Carlton. The bisque was not served that warm as a soup should be. The main courses were slightly better and texture of the beef was not bad as well as the salmon. Though the salmon should be tandoori style and despite me informing that we are ok to try to that way as I was concerned that it might be a little spicy for my daughter, I still went ahead to say it is ok to do as what was in menu as the service staff said it should not be very spicy but then the salmon came just pan-fried without the tandoori spices. The desserts were not too bad but the base of the tart was really hard. The ambience of Republic was cosy and intimate but the lighting was abit too dark to read the menu clearly! Service staff on the whole quite friendly but I would say the service recovery for the salad incident was not very well executed. The gentleman who served us was the friendliest but some other female service staff was not as friendly and welcoming.

Went there for a soft launch of their new Sunset Aperitivo. Had a great time! The cocktails and alcohol provided were excellent! (even on free-flow, where quality usually takes a hit) They were consistently well made and enjoyable. Service was top-notch too. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and made the whole experience even better. Shoutout to Aleron and Zack. Atmosphere is definitely what you expect for an upscale bar in a high-class hotel. Appropriate lighting and chill music. The food was also delicious overall, but don't expect a full meal. It's an Aperitivo after all. Perfect spot for chill drinks and light bites though.

Firstly, I must say the photos does not do the place justice. Rupublic Bar, located inside Ritz-Carlton Hotel is a wonderful place. A good bar has quite a few key ingredients; ambience, drinks, service, and Republic has all of them. Its been days, but I still think about their drink "Mission" that has the Macallan Sherry Oak in it, which comes out so floral and delicious whilst retaining the strength of a whisky. Special mention as well not only to the creative drinks created, but also the way the menu was presented. I tried to take a photo of it but again, you got to see it to understand the heart and design that went into it. Very interesting. I hope that menu is there to stay; cheers!
