Redkiwi

Five years ago, we invested approximately €50,000 with Redkiwi to develop two new websites. We're currently experiencing problems with these sites, and Redkiwi says they've discarded the source code, making it impossible for us to modify or improve anything. Absolutely disgraceful! Our only option is to have both websites completely rebuilt. This will cost €30,000. I want to warn everyone about these amateurs! We will NEVER use Redkiwi again. We feel ripped off and deceived!

Unfortunately, I cannot write a positive story about Red Kiwi. I chose this company to build a new website for a client. It started with a very good feeling, but unfortunately, it ended very disappointingly. Our wishes were poorly listened to, and we made our budget clear for everything, which turned into a nightmare. We were lured in with a reasonable price, but afterwards it turned out that this person had been too lazy to make a real estimate of the scope and costs of the website. This despite the fact that I had created a complete overview of everything we wanted on the site. It is always a matter of taste, but the design they eventually came up with left much to be desired, and ultimately, we designed a large part of the website with another designer. The approach was too minimalist, and we believe more in the convenience of the site visitor, getting to what you are looking for as quickly as possible. This is a difference in approach that we clearly could not agree on. Furthermore, little consideration was given to SEO. With the design created, how it looked was more important than the SEO already built up on the old website. The website was also delivered sloppily, with many things not working as agreed. We are not an easy client because we know very well what we do and do not want. Red Kiwi was therefore not a good match for us because they are completely inflexible regarding the client's wishes. They want to do what they want to do and feel like experts in it. We were positive about the project manager, however; she was easily accessible to us. Unfortunately, at the end of every meeting, she had to say that she had to check if it fit within the budget, which really gives you the feeling as a client that every question comes with a price tag. I would personally not recommend Red Kiwi. It has been the biggest disappointment in a working relationship I have ever experienced. We ultimately ended up with 2 stars because there were a few good ideas that we eventually used and because communication with the project manager went well, but if there had been half stars, I would not have given it more than 1.5.

Redkiwi is proactive and has a good professional in-house team. Together with them, we succeeded in setting up a very complex webshop (a custom configurator that can assemble a label from A to Z, integration with an external editor, right down to starting up our printing presses). A shop that our customers are incredibly happy with. We work closely with Redkiwi, and they really try to take you to the next level. Highly recommended!
