Plate 88 | American Grill & Bar

My first time visiting. The food was great! The servers were very attentive and kind. The atmosphere seemed light and friendly, except for the occasional look from locals that said, “You aren’t from around here, are you.” Maybe the looks were just because I walked around and between tables in the bar to get to the back patio when there was actually another door to the patio. So probably my fault LOL. Overall a great experience, and I will be back when making my trips over the Sierras to Cali!

Stopped through while traveling for business. Hands down best stroganoff we've ever had. Super filling, tender meat and lots of it, plenty of sauce and full of flavor! My fiancé and I shared and we are both satisfied. The pretzels were soft and absolutely delicious as well. They do have a card fee, so if you arent a fan, make sure to bring cash. They prefer lower bills if you want to help them have change for those that pay with 100s, 50s, n 20s. The menu can be pricy for those on a tight budget but totally worth the splurge if you have a few dollars to spare. The atmosphere is calm,clean,quiet, and beautiful. We are definitely detouring here every chance we have work out in Sacramento!

Good food, friendly staff. Been there for dinner several times. Nice place that has 2 bars one a sports bar. Dining room is very nice. Looks out to trees and a nice area to hang if you are having drinks. Lots of patio type furniture and a fireplace I believe. You can see and hear bands probably able to get food. Dogs are allowed if you ask. Front of building also has seated dining area outside. Nice thing to do when it's warm. I'm a big NFL fan so I head there on Sunday morning in the fall to watch my team play. Breakfast they serve is wonderful. So it's great to have plate 88 in pioneer. A place that is fancy, not too fancy tho. Go there, support the business. Don't cook go out to eat where you can relax enjoy a drink listen to music. The motel is there in case you drink more than allowed. They also have 4 or 5 electric car charging spaces

Best food spot you can possibly find on your way to kirkwood. Great food. Awesome vibes.

Had a fantastic lunch here sat on the patio in the sunshine! Lovely atmosphere, friendly and attentive servers. Excellent cobb salad. The biscuits and gravy are the best I've ever tasted in California. The sausage gravy was EPIC. Really dog friendly, the server brought my pooch a slice of bacon for being a good girl. 10/10 would strongly recommend.
