Loved the food at this place, and the drinks were amazing as well. The service was a little slow, but the staff was very nice and attentive, which made up for it. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth visiting.

Everything here was amazing. I did pick this place out of convenience since I was staying at the Hilton and it was rainy and cold outside, but I left very impressed. The staff was super friendly, the bartender came over to help me pick a drink as they didn't have a physical copy of their mixed drink menu, and the waitress helped recommend her favorite items on the menu. I ended up ordering two of the specials- a mushroom and dumpling dish for my main, and the plum crumble with ice cream for dessert. Both were amazing and something I'd 100% go back for if I ever had the chance. One of the best hotel restaurants I've been to and could certainly be a stand alone restaurant.

As far as hotel bars go, the Pigeon Post is a-okay in my book. Located in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel in Cologne, Germany, this newly remodeled bar has a funky, stylish, and modern atmosphere that goes well with the hotel's vibe. There's plenty of seating and the bar is decently stocked. When you check-in at the hotel, HHonors rewards members get a couple of tokens that are good for drinks in the bar -- well, just beer, wine, or soda (no liquor). That made us both laugh out loud. The house wine is decent (this is Europe, after all), all Old World choices. I wouldn't seek out this bar as a destination for drinks, but it's a good place to grab a nightcap if you are staying at the hotel. I opted for a Coke Zero and a glass of Bordeaux. The wine was much better than anything you'd get when you order a house wine in the U.S., and the soda was served in a tiny little bottle (and it was cold), with a GLASS OF ICE! Yes, ICE CUBES! Overall, a massive win in my book! Their gimmick is a menu of gin and tonics, with all sorts of different gin options. That's not one of my favorite cocktails, but at least they fully embrace their "thing." They also offer a small tapas style menu (but we didn't sample any food). I really dug the decor of this bar too, it reminded me of a writer's lodge if it was designed by Wes Anderson. Check out my photos of the interior design, it's a really neat space. The service was quite good and the staff all speak excellent English, so there were zero language barriers. They also happily provide complimentary glasses of tap water if you ask, which is a major win in Germany.

It was my wife’s birthday, and we had dinner at the restaurant in the evening. Everything was delicious — we especially loved the schnitzel. We would also like to thank Annika for her warm and kind welcome. She fulfilled all our requests perfectly and was very hospitable.

Great hotel bar at the Hilton Köln that was previously a post office. Good choice of drinks. Anne was an excellent bar tender and recommended a perfect wine for my wife Michele. Marks beer was perfect! We would both highly recommend her and the bar.
