Friendly service but the food is way too salty, oily and spicy, apparently the meat is marinated in sprite so there’s a slightly sour taste (or maybe it’s just not fresh?), the grilled pig brain is presented in a soupy pot form (odd), price is okay but food quality need to be improved
The reason for so many 5 stars - Free drink for a review - FYI We ordered tomato soup and chives with stir fried pork. Latter was tastier but some of the pork tasted unfresh/ porky smell. Tomato soup was bland. One thing to improve: They only serve canned drinks. Not much healthier drink choices.
Plenty of outdoor seating but limited indoor seating. Indoor seating would have strong food smell and might have a bit of smoke. We sat outdoors and it wasn't hot, quite breezy. The feel and atmosphere was nice as it was by a river canal. There can be cyclists cycling past so beware. The la zi ji was excellent. At other such eating places, you get about 70% chillies, 30% meat, and sometimes the meat even has bones. But here, it was the opposite at 70% meat and 30% chillies, with NO bones. The ketchup pork and the grilled eggplant with garlic were also excellent. The beef was a bit like what was described above, 65% veggies and 35% beef. Still pretty tasty though. The hotplate tofu was slightly above average.
Great food, portions & prices here! Must try any of their egg dishes, highly recommended! 😋
We tried it tonight and loooove this place. Food is amazing and the vibe is just way too good. Will be coming back for sure.
