Paks Mall

I went to Pak’s Mall to get a framed plaque resized. Right from the start, it was clear Mr. Pak was stressed. I get it, running a shop all day with a line of customers isn’t easy. What stood out, though, was how he treated the younger soldiers there trying to help their friends. Instead of assisting them, he was sarcastic, dismissive, and condescending. Honestly, I’ve got thick skin, so it didn’t bother me, but it definitely shouldn’t go unnoticed. When it was my turn, I asked politely if he had a bigger frame. He immediately got loud and defensive. I stayed calm and professional, which seemed to help him settle down a bit. Bottom line is, his work is expensive, and the main thing going for him is location. We ended up taking our business to Mr. Kwak’s shop, where we got a better deal on the plaque, a discount on our company coins, and equal, or better, quality. Don’t assume the closest shop is the best. A little patience in exploring options can save you both money and stress.

I’ve known Mr. Pak for about 4 years now, and he has never let me down with any type of request I ask of him. He will work with you to get what you need. Ever since the first plaque he made for me, I have loved his work and his craft ever since. Thanks Mr. Pak for all your hard work and dedication to me and our service members.

I've brought two separate waterbottles for engraving two separate times. Both times they have forgotten about them. The first time I paid before and was told it would take a week. I went in to check and was told to come back. It took three more tines and was two more weeks before it was actually ready. I decided to try again because everyone raves about the work. This time I came in two weeks before my soldier left and said I would pay after to make sure it was completed in time. Once again they didn't complete it but now I don't have time to wait. It was still sitting on his desk when I came in to pick it up and clearly hadn't moved. Don't expect anything to be done in time from this store.

We've had at least 8 plaques made here over two years. I also had him repair an older PCS award that was damaged in HHG. Additionally he custom made a shadow box to show off some custom tiles I had made in Spain. Turn around time is typically less than a week, even during PCS season.

Best place to get someone a pcs gift or something special. Fast turnaround and great prices. No appointment or wait. Have a idea or a concept, Paks mall will get it done as soon as possible.
