North Star Heating & AC

Our air conditioner went out on one of the hottest days of the year, with temperatures over 100°. I called late in the evening on July 3, and Tyler, the technician, was incredibly kind and apologetic that he wasn’t able to come out that night. True to his word, he arrived first thing on the morning of July 4. He had our AC up and running in less than 30 minutes! We were so impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and outstanding customer service that we signed up for their annual maintenance plan before he left. I can’t say enough good things about Tyler. If you’re looking for honest, prompt, and excellent service, I highly recommend North Star Heating and Air Conditioning!

The guys were punctual and very polite. They quickly figured out what was wrong and replaced the capacitor. I don’t agree with the $135 travel charge because the house was 6 minutes from the shop. I understand they might have been coming from another house but if that customer is out of the area then that customer is already paying that travel charge (which is definitely high). Anyway just my thought !!!

This is an outstanding business. Everyone that I have dealt with so far has been knowledgeable, competent and helpful. The lady who schedules work via the phone (probably Shelly?) is extremely good. She is pleasant and does a very good job of organizing work at your convenience. I’m embarrassed that I can’t remember the tech’s name but the fellow who did the recent critical work is excellent. He did the “impossible.” When the system was installed by another company, I was told that it couldn’t be controlled remotely. However, the North Star tech did a bit of troubleshooting and replaced a circuit board, and the system is now online. I can now control the heating and cooling via the internet from anywhere. I was also impressed by another North Star tech who worked on a separate HVAC system for us. He showed us that there was nothing wrong with the system that the other company said needed to be replaced. I could go on and on but suffice it to say that, in my opinion, North Star is the best.

Not only did they answer the call quickly on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. They also responded very quickly and considering it was a holiday weekend I felt the price fair. The tech was prompt, courteous, and extremely efficient. I’m hoping that I don’t have a need again, but if I do, they will be the first ones that I call

We had signed up to have someone come out and evaluate our mini split. The technician that came out, went right to our thermostat and thought that he was there for our main heating system. I guess he didn’t have time to check his notes before he arrived. However, he was very helpful. We will not be using North Store for our service, but he was very informative.
