My teacher is Ms Narrisa. She is a passionate and patience English teacher. When we meet with difficulties in our studies, she will crack jokes to create a fun study atmosphere. She always give us time to finish our work then she continues. After joining MS, My English has improved. I like her as she is always there to help me when I have difficulties in my English works. I still remembered my first day in MS, I was very nervous as I am new in the class. She came to me and guide me, she made me feel comfortable in the class. Dear Teacher Beth(Ms Ho) I want to thank you from the bottom ofmy heart for always helping me with my math. Whether it was problem sums or short answer questions, your annotations helped provide me with a better understanding of the question. It was truly wonderful having you as a tuition teacher for my math, and now thanks to you, I've been acing most of my math assignments, tests etc. I also appreciated you interacting with us in class and making the subject genuinely less depressing. I also appreciate how you give us rewards for coming early, and giving us rewards for that too! It really made me more motivated to go and learn something. I’m Ian, a Primary 6 student taught by teacher Monica, and let me tell you, being in Teacher Monica’s class is truly a joyful and fortunate experience. And here is why. First of all, Teacher Monica always makes learning fun. Even the most boring lessons become enjoyable through her jokes and the way she explains concepts in detail. She is also thoughtful—she gives us short breaks during lessons and even prepares snacks so that we can recharge and concentrate better. On top of regular classes, she goes the extra mile by holding extra sessions, such as her weekly Writing Clinic, to support our learning. Secondly, Teacher Monica genuinely cares for our well-being. She constantly reminds us to bring water bottles to stay hydrated and to wear our glasses if needed. Once, when my eyes were itchy and I couldn’t stop rubbing them, she noticed right away. She kindly gave me a non-alcohol wet tissue to clean my eyes and gently reminded me not to rub them to avoid infection. Lastly, as exams draw near, Teacher Monica prepares online lessons to help us consolidate our knowledge and revise effectively. I am truly grateful for all the effort Teacher Monica has put in—not only to improve my academics but also to guide me towards better habits. I had a great time at Mind Stretcher! This Teachers’ Day, I want to dedicate my appreciation to someone who has truly helped me in my learning journey — Ms Ho, the best English teacher!! Ms Ho is more than just a teacher, she is just like a mother to me. She is patient when we struggle, firm when we lose focus, and kind when we need encouragement. At first, she looked like the strict kind of teacher just by looking at her scary face (no offense Ms Ho), but I have learnt a lesson. Don't judge a book by its cover. Ms Ho was the kindest teacher! She has taught me that English is not only about grammar and vocabulary but also communicating with confidence. I absolutely appreciate her for teaching Show, Not Tell (SNT). It really helped me with my composition writing! What makes Ms Ho truly special is the way she believes in her students—even when we doubt ourselves. There were times I felt like giving up, but her words pushed me to keep trying. I became actually determined.. She always reminds us that mistakes are not failures, but opportunities to grow into corrects. Because of her, I’ve not only improved in English (especially composition and paper 2), but I’ve also learned important values: resilience and perseverance. Every lesson with her is not just about academics — it’s about life. She even makes here classes sometimes hilarious by sharing her funny occurrences to the whole class! So today, I just want to say: Thank you, Ms Ho, for your dedication, your patience, and your endless belief in me and the whole class. You are a teacher who has made a impact on my life. You are the best! A mentor, a role model and mainly a teacher deserves a huge reward! I am Korean, so I don’t usually speak English at home. Before I joined Mind Stretcher, my oral marks were very low (around 25–27). But after I met Teacher Charissa, everything changed! She explains so clearly and patiently that I could finally understand. Now my oral marks have gone up to 32 in school! What I love most is that she is always kind. Even when there is a naughty boy in class, she doesn’t scold harshly but talks nicely. She also noticed that I was lonely when I first joined and introduced me to two girls. Thanks to her, Thursdays at MS are now fun and exciting. Sometimes I regret not joining MS earlier. That’s why I told my younger sister (P4) to start earlier than me. I even told her, “If you get Teacher Charissa, you are super lucky!” Teacher Charissa really made a big difference in my English and in my confidence.
