Middle Child Bar

my favourite go-to bar. staff are always so warm, friendly and kind. music is goated (rnb, hiphop, rap w a mix of pop.. malcolm todd, tyler the creator, rihanna, michael jackson all in one night 😩🤍) drink selection is great too!

When I think of a natural wine bar, I think about a place with a range of creative seasonal wines and knowledgeable approachable staff who are interested in finding you a wine to your taste. When done right, it’s a great experience that can help open people up to wine in a relaxed environment and make it feel less posh and inaccessible. Middle Child…. didn’t quite do this for us. Visually it looks fun and the aesthetic is welcoming and playful. However, we were sat down, told to order from a QR code, and couldn’t find any information on the wines available to order. No grape varieties, country, or even tasting notes. We had to google them all, sheesh! If you’re wondering why we didn’t just ask our server; again, we were sat down, told how to order, and the wait staff would perch and chat by the bar until an order came through. It would have been nice for the server to ask if we had any questions or wanted to sample any wines, maybe we would’ve stayed for two instead. Yeah, I dunno. I’ve been to a few great wine bars and this one ain’t hitting the mark.

Free tap water - 5 stars immediately. The ambience here was superb, coupled with the wonderful service we received from all the members of staff who served us. The second we stepped in, we were greeted and brought to our seats - which is a rare sight nowadays. We didn't get the chance to order any food this time around as we weren't hungry, but we got two drinks instead: a standard G&T, and a strawberry aperol spritz. Both were great, especially the aperol spritz as it had the most delicious combination of orange and strawberry flavours. The menu looks interesting, and we'd love to come back to try the food with friends. Honestly can't recommend this place more: great location, design, lighting, music, drinks, and (possibly) food! Edit: we really can't stress enough how much we appreciated that this establishment offers free water, and that the waitstaff brought it over after seating us. This sets this bar apart from so so many others! 🤍

We love this spot!!. The vibe was effortlessly cool, with a modern yet relaxed atmosphere that made my wife keep on asking me to take her pictures . The host in charge on that 29th Aug lunch time was lovely!. She recommended us the dishes that we enjoyed a lot. She totally went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our lunch. The cocktails were a real highlight, my Coconut Highball was light, tropical, and refreshing, while her Strawberry Aperol Spritz tasted like summer in a glass. For food, we shared the grilled chicken thigh, which was smoky and juicy, the grilled pork belly with its rich, hearty flavor, and the fried Brussels sprouts that were crisp, savory, and completely addictive. The overall experience is certainly pleasant, it’s a place that i would travel out of my way to enjoy again.

Cozy, playful vibes and good food & cocktails! Middle Child strikes the perfect balance between laid-back and stylish. The interior is full of personality—bright art on the walls, and a mix of cozy corners and bar seating. It’s the kind of place where you can come for a casual drink and end up staying for dinner. The fried Brussels sprouts were a surprise favorite—crispy and layered with flavors. The grilled pork collar - it was rich, perfectly balanced with their bold burnt chili lime sauce. Their cocktails are creative and well thought out. Mezzing with the Beet had a rich, earthy flavor and beautiful color. Passionfruit margarita was bright, refreshing, and not too heavy—ideal for daytime sipping. Overall, it’s a place that feels fresh, fun, and full of character.
