Matunuck Oyster Bar

We stopped by Montauk Oyster Bar on our way home from vacation and had a very enjoyable meal. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent from start to finish. For the kids, we ordered the fish and chips and the chicken tenders with fries. Both portions were generous, and the kids were happy with their meals. For ourselves, we ordered a salad with fried scallops and the lobster pizza, and both were really tasty. The lobster pizza was especially fun to try and made for a great meal. We didn’t stay very long because we still had a drive ahead of us, but the stop was definitely worth it. The staff were friendly, efficient, and made everything easy. A couple of practical notes for future visitors: the restrooms were a little unusual to get to and required walking through what felt like a short maze. It may have been temporary because it looked like some work was being done, but it caught us by surprise. Also, parking is valet-only. You can’t self-park your car. Personally, since I was traveling with a baby, I actually found that very convenient 😅, but it’s good to know before you arrive. tasty food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. We’d happily visit again.

Had the pesto pasta with salmon and it was DIVINE! Was raining when I went but the sights were still amazing. They are temporary in a big tent but was covered and air conditioned. Gave the HARRY POTTER VIBES. Service was OP and very accommodating. 10/10 recommend

I always love coming here, and it’s always amazing. Tonight, my family and I came to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday. We all love him so much, so it was obviously a very important occasion for us. Our server, Sam, was amazing. She was very friendly and attentive. Thank you to the whole team because the food and service, from beginning to end, were 10/10. 😊

The Matunuck Oyster Bar is working through an aftermath of a fire and operating under a tent, but you would never know that the tent was temporary. The atmosphere was lively, the interior of the tent was cozy and tastefully decorated, and the service was wonderful. My husband and I both started out with a stuffie, which we both agreed was the best stuffie we’ve ever had. There was a bit of a kick of heat, which we both appreciated. My husband had the blackened chicken sandwich, which was seasoned perfectly. I had the fish and chips - lightly battered, not greasy, and cooked perfectly. We split the chocolate torte for dessert, which was rich and delicious. From the valet team to the hostess to the food runners to our server, everyone was so kind and welcoming. Our server even took the time to give us some Newport sightseeing recommendations, which we greatly appreciated since we were visiting from NJ. All in all, an absolutely wonderful spot that we look forward to returning to!

For it being an off site, tent set up; Matunuck Oyster Bar did a great job of making you feel that you are in an upscale set up. The oysters are a must! Great atmosphere even on a rainy day!
