We celebrated our anniversary at this charming restaurant on the recommendation of our cousin… and it truly exceeded our expectations. The ambience was cozy… the food was rich in flavour and the service was genuinely friendly. Chef Tiago thoughtfully offered us a dessert wine to complement the special dessert which was a lovely touch. We’re already looking forward to coming back with our friends!

Authentic Portuguese Soul with Heartfelt Service A wonderful discovery! We had an exceptional lunch here. The food is handmade to order and feels both authentic and refined. The Highlights: • The Food: We loved the Cogumelos Salteados (Sauteed Mushrooms), the Polvo à Lagareiro (grilled octopus), and the Massa de Camarão (Seafood Penne Pasta). Everything was incredibly tasty and perfectly seasoned—not as salty as what we’ve experienced in Portugal, which suited us perfectly. • Quality & Health: While the dishes look rich, the Chef uses Extra Virgin Olive Oil (rich in Omega 3 & 6). It feels light, clean, and very healthy. • Chef Tiago Martins: A truly friendly and professional host. He took the time to explain each dish to us but was very respectful of our privacy while we ate. • A Thoughtful Touch: We missed the traditional Portuguese bread, but the Chef gracefully offered us complimentary toast to soak up the delicious garlic and paprika oil from the mushrooms. Value: Price is on the high side, but well worth it. You are paying for premium ingredients and dishes that are made fresh from scratch only after you order. Verdict: Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Portuguese flavors and warm hospitality!

I was rather amused that Chef wrote in the menu “Portuguese food is more oily and salty than what we are used to in SG”. Consider yourself warned 😂 But can you really resist the food when it’s rich with garlic, butter, salt pepper parprika and wine? The clams, prawns, mushrooms, and octopus especially stood out. And the experience was made so much more enjoyable by Chef’s warmth and hospitality. Thank you for sharing your culture with us Chef! Love what you do, will be back!

This is probably the only Portuguese restaurant in Singapore, if you don't count Nando's. I'm just kidding, Nando's isn't real Portuguese food. The chef was so warm and passionate about his dishes. My top recommendations are the cod fish cake, octopus salad, white wine clams, and tomato stew rice (hearty).

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, largely thanks to the fantastic boss, who is such a friendly and attentive host. He made it a point to come over and check on us, ensuring we were enjoying our meal and had everything we needed. Now, let’s talk about the food! The chicken ball made with chicken wings was an absolute standout—it was a delightful twist compared to the usual drumlets I've encountered elsewhere. The wings were incredibly succulent, making each bite a joy. Additionally, the prawn dish was superb. Dipping the freshly baked bread into the flavorful sauce was pure bliss! Every scoop was packed with taste, and I found myself savoring each moment. And how could I forget the squid tentacle dish? Wow! Just one bite had me hooked and craving more—it was that good. Overall, my experience at Lusitano was nothing short of fantastic, and I can't recommend it enough. If you’re looking for delicious food, a place to chill and a welcoming vibe, this is the place to be!
