Located adjacent to Lake Bomun Hotel Lahans roooms are spacious. Not all rooms have a lake view. Shower is large and free standing so no need to clamber into the bath. Breakfast is extensive Korean and Western style. Food is fresh and tasty. The hotel has a pool and spa and also a convenience store in building. Like other Lahans it has a bookstore and cafe. The hotel has direct access to the lake boardwalk.
My husband and I loved our stay here. Beautiful view of the lake, walking distance from many attractions, comfortable rooms but most of all the staff were extremely helpful. A special thank you to housekeeping who were so polite and considerate.
If you are planning a trip to Gyeongju during the spring, Lahan Select is an absolute gem. It manages to strike that rare balance between luxury and incredible value. Here is why I highly recommend it: The Room & Ambiance The hotel feels genuinely luxurious from the moment you walk in. My room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. While many seek out the lake view, I stayed in a mountain-facing room and was pleasantly surprised—it was filled with lush greenery and vibrant cherry blossom trees. Location & Scenery The highlight is undoubtedly the location. Right at the doorstep is the lake, with a footpath lined entirely with cherry blossom trees. • The Perks: Unlike the more famous tourist spots, there were no crowds to jostle with. • Accessibility: You can take a peaceful stroll along the lake to nearby restaurants. It is the perfect way to walk off a heavy meal on the way back to the hotel. Dining & Value • Food Court: There is an on-site food court with very reasonable pricing, which is convenient for a quick or casual meal. • Price Point: Compared to other hotels in the surrounding area, the nightly rate here is very competitive for the level of quality you receive. • City Access: While it feels like a quiet retreat, getting to the city center is easy and affordable. An Uber (UT) ride costs around 13,000 Won, making it a great base for exploring. Final Verdict: An excellent, high-end stay that doesn't break the bank. Perfect for nature lovers and those seeking a serene spring getaway.
Our family’s final days in Korea were made truly unforgettable thanks to the exceptional team at Lahan Select Gyeongju. After a long and tiring day out celebrating, we were met with the friendliest world-class check-in experience we have ever encountered. The staff, masterfully led by Manager Heo Gyu Seok, were incredibly professional and polite. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was defined by world-class comfort and genuine care. We would like to specifically thank: • Heo Gyu Seok (Manager): For his outstanding leadership and professionalism. • Hong Nog Gi - For providing such a warm and welcoming experience upon our arrival. • Choi Myeong Woo - For his dedicated care and attention to detail throughout our stay. This wonderful team made our visit a truly memorable and unforgettable experience. If you are looking for the gold standard of service in Gyeongju, this is it.
The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the scenic background (especially the lake view) are the highlights of this hotel. Upon arrival there is no one to help with bags. Checkin was done via a queueing system and required a wait of 20 minutes. Access to hotel facilities like the swimming pool require additional payment. In the winter the hotel does not let you reduce the temperature of the room via the AC. The room was stuck on 25 degrees, so we had to keep the windows open all night. The next day we had the queue 30 minutes to be seated for breakfast. The breakfast is good, but the selection is not too big. Not the hospitality you would expect from a 5* hotel. Fortunately the staff are still very friendly.
