Contact: Inotsume and Yokota SUUMO Counter introduced me to several companies, and after speaking with them and other companies, I decided on Ouchi Labo. This was my first time building a house, and I was only able to communicate my general expectations. However, when I saw Ouchi Labo's first proposed floor plan, my first impression was that I wanted to live there. Even before we signed the contract, they listened to me over and over again, adjusting the blueprints so I could visualize it, and taking the time to address any other concerns I had. They also clearly explained the financial aspects so that they were within my reach. Above all, they told me to "tell me anything," which was very reassuring and helped me decide to work with them. There are still many specific decisions to be made, and I'm sure there will be concerns and problems along the way, but I look forward to consulting with them and enjoying the process until our home is complete. When I consulted with the SUUMO counter about purchasing a house, I was introduced to four companies and after considering all of them, I decided on Ouchi LABO. We had also considered other companies, but what made us decide on Ouchi LABO was the personality of our representative, Mr. Yanai, as well as the standard amenities and budget we were looking for in a home. The representatives from other companies pushed the discussion forward with aggressive sales pitches and didn't take our requests into consideration, but Mr. Yanai listened sincerely to our requests and allowed us to proceed with the discussion at our own pace. When we were looking for land, he was very attentive and proposed different floor plans multiple times as our desired land changed. He was also very helpful in subsequent meetings, allowing us to move forward with building a home that we are satisfied with! Thank you very much! We look forward to working with you again.

When I inherited the house my parents had lived in, I decided to demolish it and build a new one. Although the location had been familiar to me since childhood, it was difficult to access my workplace, and I was initially reluctant to move. However, I realized that inheritance was inevitable, and decided to build a house that I would want to return to. I compared several housing companies introduced through the SUUMO counter. Even though it was a custom-built home, I initially vaguely assumed I would settle for a "safe" home. In fact, during meetings with many companies, I got the impression that they were being guided in a direction that was easier for the housing company than what the client wanted. Even when I spoke of my dreams and hopes, I was told to speak from a "professional standpoint," and I felt frustrated that my requests were not fully reflected. But Ouchi LABO was different. Speaking directly with Mr. Ohara, the architect in charge, I realized the true essence of the project: "Since it's a custom-built home, it's okay to pursue your dreams as much as possible." My vague hopes developed into a clear concept. In other words, a home that an elderly couple without children could do as they pleased. Mr. and Mrs. Ohara understood the couple's preferences and offered playful suggestions and extra ideas, which helped them realize exactly how they wanted to live and, ultimately, what kind of life they wanted to lead. With other companies, it felt like the sales representative just glossed over their requests, but the architect's proposals were strong, specific, and persuasive, and I believe they built an extremely strong relationship of trust. After comparing options, the couple agreed to hire Ouchi LABO without any special discussion between them. The proposed floor plan, as well as the fact that they conducted a site survey even before signing the contract and provided expert advice on lighting and other aspects, were key factors in their decision. The completed home has an unusual layout, with the kitchen on the first floor and the bathroom on the second, but it is easy to live in, has a three-dimensional feel, and is truly unique to them. It's easy to use, looks great, and is highly functional, so there are no complaints. The only minus was that the architect seemed to have a lot of work on, which made us feel a bit overwhelmed. This is entirely our problem, and the architect is in no way at fault, but I feel that Ouchi LABO's advantage of "communicating directly with the architect before building" can be a double-edged sword. I sometimes wondered if they could have set up a dedicated contact point (which other companies would handle as sales) if it was just a simple request that didn't require expertise. However, as I mentioned earlier, the house they built is wonderful, and I'm very satisfied that it was only Ouchi LABO that could have made it happen. I was impressed that they were able to realize my request to such an extent, even though it would seem like a tedious request from a housing company. They say it takes three tries to build a house before you're satisfied with it, but this was a one-shot solution for their first build. Finally, I'd like to express my gratitude to our architect, Mr. Obara, who took our unique ideas into consideration and created a wonderful floor plan; to our interior coordinator, Mr. Yamaguchi, who spent a long time showing us around each showroom; to our site supervisor, Mr. Takahashi; and to the carpenters who actually built our house. I commissioned them to build a new house three years ago, but their work was so inconsistent that I wondered if they even understood what I said. After the handover, various issues were discovered. (One room had no power, parts for the electronic key at the front door were missing, documents that appeared to have been exchanged between contractors were left lying around, plastic still stuck on the outside vent, the intercom hadn't been installed, etc.) When I inquired about these issues with the company's representative, they gave me something like a sympathy gift as a housewarming gift, but they also made me sign a contract-like document. Perhaps it was also to keep me quiet. They also inspect the house every six months or so, and I went for an inspection the first year, but they didn't even bring a stepladder and asked me to use a chair from home. It turned out they were the site supervisor. Last year, I kept getting persistent phone calls around inspection time, and it turns out it was a contractor they outsource. They call without regard for my schedule, so I ignored them, and then they never called me again. So maybe the six-month inspection was a lie? ... To be honest, I couldn't trust anything about them. The architect who handled the project was the managing director, and I wondered if he was really reliable... His communication skills and attention to detail were so lacking that I felt uneasy from start to finish. If I could turn back time, I wouldn't have hired them. There have been other negative reviews, but that's just how it is... I hope this is helpful to anyone who is still undecided.

I was introduced to Ouchi Lab by a friend. After meetings almost weekly for over a year, we finally created a special home that doubles as a piano studio! Yanai-san's personality was truly helpful. She listened to every question we had without a single frown, and was always there to listen to our concerns. She took her time and worked with us to ensure we would have no regrets. She also provided many reliable suggestions based on her experience. I've also had a pregnancy and childbirth over the past year, so I'm grateful that she accommodated our online meetings. After much deliberation, I arrived at a floor plan that reflected my personal preferences, carefully considering things like easy circulation throughout the house, a way to separate the piano studio from the family, a way to prevent the cat from escaping, and sunlight that wouldn't interfere with neighboring houses. The carpenter carefully finished the interior, incorporating my personal preferences. Inotsume-san, who is both an architect and a financial planner, also helped me with planning the loan and convincing my in-laws. Everyone at Ouchi Lab was kind and helpful, and I felt at ease and comfortable in their hands. Thanks to you, I am very happy and satisfied with my dream home.
