Ten years ago, they renovated our bathroom and kitchen, and this time we asked them to renovate another room. As our home is a 150-year-old traditional Japanese house, there were many challenges, including the foundation, but once again, they successfully brought it back to life. They were very attentive from the initial meetings and listened carefully to our requests. When we asked for a shelf, they asked us in detail, "What do you want to store in it?" "Is it for the family? Your own? Your children's?" and made suggestions that took the household flow into consideration. They also gave us specific, professional advice, saying, "In that case, it will be easier to use if you make it XX centimeters wide and XX centimeters deep," which gave us complete peace of mind and made us feel at ease in their hands. It's truly amazing how they are able to understand our needs while still accurately bringing the project to life. In addition, all of the craftsmen work very carefully, and each one is able to explain things clearly. I think this is Kenmei's greatest strength. The finished product is cool, easy to use, and modern, while making use of the beams unique to old houses. I'm very happy with it myself, but everyone who comes to my house unanimously says, "It's amazing!" "It's cool!" "It's stylish!" I was worried, wondering if a house like this could be renovated and whether it would work out, but Mr. Mochizuki's words, "It'll be fine. Please tell me anything. Leave it to me," were very comforting. I wanted to write this review to express my gratitude to Mr. Mochizuki of Kenmei and everyone involved. I hope we'll continue to do business together for a long time, so I look forward to your continued support.

They were very kind to us. Thank you very much. After signing a contract with another home builder, we were worried about the quality of the floor plan and construction, so we were looking for someone who could give us advice. We contacted several design offices and construction companies, but were turned down. Kenmei was the only one who was willing to listen to our story, and we signed a consulting contract. Kenmei told us that he had rarely signed consulting contracts, but we are grateful for his spirit of challenge as a master carpenter who accepted our unreasonable request. He also made specific suggestions during the consultation. His suggestions for the entrance location and approach layout, in particular, allowed us to come up with a satisfactory floor plan on a limited lot. Kenmei has a wide range of knowledge, responds quickly to emails, and is always willing to make time to meet in person, so he was a great support throughout the construction of our home. We're having a major renovation done on our home. Out of all the different construction companies, we chose Kenmei because they specialize in wood construction. I think everyone initially chooses a company somewhat haphazardly, but based on word-of-mouth and their work examples on social media, we decided on Kenmei, who specializes in wooden houses. Although they're a small construction company, the staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs, offering various suggestions from design to cost. What surprised us a little was their unique system for creating a home diagnostic report. By selecting our preferred home features, Kenmei AI ultimately summarized our preferences. It's a small detail, but it's often difficult to express your feelings, so seeing our thoughts reflected in the report was both surprising and moving. We're looking forward to the renovation and the completion of our living room with its new high ceiling and wooden frame. I highly recommend visiting Kenmei if you're considering building a new home or renovating!

I learned about Takeaki through a wood reuse project called "Kino Shippo" (Tree Tail) in a free paper called KidsDo. I became interested and started following him on Instagram. 🕊️ The reason I decided to write this review is because he helped me with a DIY project. 🫢🤍 I wanted to make a shelf using wood I had at home, so I initially considered using a hardware store's cutting service, but it seemed like all hardware stores only handled wood purchased in-store. As I was wondering if there was anywhere else I could turn to, Takeaki came to mind. I asked him if he would cut the wood for me for a fee, even though I didn't think he would. He said, "Yes, we'll do it! No charge." ...Huh? Does that even happen? ??? We set a date and time and arrived on the day. They showed us to their lovely office, cut the wood exactly as we wanted, and we had such a fun time chatting that an hour and a half passed (we talked way too much). While we were there, they even played with toys to keep my 3-year-old daughter from getting bored. 😳 On the way home, my daughter said, "I wish we could have played more..." 🤣 Takeaki-san helped me with my personal DIY project. They were a wonderful company, from their work, to the finished product, to their personality! Thank you so much for this opportunity! 🥹

I requested the installation of YKK interior windows as part of a window renovation. I was completely clueless about window renovations. There were so many types of glass, and I didn't even know what to choose. However, they patiently explained insulation and heat shielding, and even taught me that the type of glass needed varies depending on the direction the window faces, resulting in a much more comfortable room. I knew that I could use the window subsidy from the energy-saving campaign, but I thought the application process would be complicated. I'm incredibly grateful that Kenmei handled everything for me! All the staff were very knowledgeable and taught me a lot about other renovations as well. I'm sure I'll be using their services again in the future, so I look forward to working with them again.
