Good selection of books, including some in English. We primarily went looking for art and craft supplies for the kids, but the selection was fairly limited and mostly similar to what you can find in many other stores. That said, we did manage to pick up some paint and paintbrushes for the kids, which was helpful. However, the selection of English-language books and materials for children was quite small. Prices were ok.
I just love this bookstore – it's definitely my favorite in Samarkand! They have a fantastic selection of new books, covering everything from finance and personal development to education and Islam. I've visited a lot of book markets, and I really think this place offers the lowest prices in all of Samarkand. Plus, the staff is always so polite and fast. I'd be thrilled if Kansmarket started having more discounts for us customers!
They got everything
The store has a good selection, a wide selection, which is great. 👍 But when we got home, we checked the receipt and discovered we'd unfortunately been cheated. The book "To Live" was listed at 18,000 soums, while the receipt said 28,000. The price for Fyodor Dostoevsky's "White Nights" was listed at 41,000 soums, while the receipt said 60,000 soums. So, the difference in price was almost 30,000 soums. Overall, although the store was good, it left a bad taste in our mouths, and our impression was ruined.
One of the best stores for buying stationery and books. They also open a special electronic card for purchases over 100,000 soums. 5% of each purchase is credited to the electronic card as cashback. I am one of the regular customers of this store.
