Great location on the river. Great for people watching. Amazing drinks deals. Cheap beer $4 @ 4pm, $5@ 5pm etc. Staff are really nice - thanks to you all. We came two days in a row. Had the pork belly - delicious. Everyone else's food looked great and smelled lovely. Will definitely come back next visit. 2 otters swam by when we were there as well - just so you know what the photo is of 😀

Had a wonderful dining experience here! The happy hour deals offer great value, and the food quality exceeded expectations, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What truly made the visit memorable was the excellent service from Ming. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about ensuring we had a great experience. His warm hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel very welcome. Will be back again soon!

Came to Kanpai 789 on a night when they had an event going on indoors – honestly, it got pretty loud and made it really hard to have a conversation. But the outdoor seating in the evening was totally fine, much more relaxed. What stood out: the beer is really cheap thanks to their beer promo, and they also have promos for sake and red wine, which is a nice bonus. Great value for the area. The food selection is wide and most of the food we tried are good too! Especially the pork belly, the sushi platters etc. The best part was the service. We asked to move from indoor to outdoor because of the noise, and the staff were super attentive and tried their best to accommodate us without any fuss. That made the whole experience a happy one. Would recommend if you're okay with sitting outside (especially in the evening) or if you don't mind the noise inside during events. Will be back for the promos and friendly service!

Went there for a night of food and drinks: Great, bustling ambience. 4/5 Food: 1. Loved the sushi tacos 2. The dumplings were great too. 3. Decent satays The selection of drinks was good as well and we were able to take advantage of the happy hour. 4/5 The place is quite expensive though so be ready to spend

This is a fun restaurant and I want to focus on the staff. Many warm smiles welcomed me and asked me what I was looking for. I only wanted a small bite to eat and a refreshing drink. It was happy hour so, as recommended by one of the staff, I order the loaded tater tots and a Blonde beer. As I sat at the bar, I noticed one staff member fixing drinks for her coworkers. She knew what each of them like and delivered them to bartenders and cooks. There was a very recognizable joy throughout the staff. I think that makes for excellent customer service. Great job everybody!!!! So good, I came back the next day for Amaretto Sour and Steamed lime chili fish.
