Huge fan of Josh’s Grill! Walked past this spot randomly and was blown away by their hearty, affordable Western food. First off, the portions are super generous, and every main dish comes with two sides to pick from—so many hot & cold options to mix and match, I love that flexibility. I ordered the char-grill chicken chop with mushroom cream sauce, the meat was tender, perfectly grilled without being dry, and the sauce was rich and creamy without being overly heavy. I also tried their crispy battered fish, the batter is light and crunchy, paired perfectly with homemade tartar sauce. The menu has such a wide range: seafood, steak combos, fried chicken, duck confit, even sizzling J’Steak hotplate which looked incredible. Prices are really reasonable for Singapore standards, way cheaper than many other grills around the area. Service is smooth too, the queue system is clear outside the shop, easy to wait and get seated quickly. The space looks clean and cozy, great for casual meals with friends or a solo lunch. All sides are made from scratch, I got truffle mash potato and coleslaw—both tasted fresh and well-made. If you’re craving satisfying Western grill food without breaking the bank, Josh’s Grill is a must-visit. Will definitely come back to try their steak and jumbo prawn combos next time! Highly recommend.
Awesome service. Nice environment. Food slightly bland side. Creamy spinach and baked potato not soft enough. Shouldn’t add crushed peanut on top of everything like coleslaw and fried and pasta etc. Nice gesture of giving a free Father’s Day dessert. It tasted good
Walked in on a Wed evening without reservation - it was not difficult to get a set despite the restaurant at 90% capacity. The food was served fast. Fish & Chips - 7/10 The fries were nicely done, not soggy not overly fried. Nice crunch to it. The fish is also meaty, and the sea bass taste is there. Chicken cutlet cheese - 7/10 Maybe coz I'm not a real cheese-on-food person. The chicken cutlet's crust is a little too much for me, but overall an enjoyable piece when hungry. Baked oysters - nicely done. Will revisit again to try other stuffs.
This is my second time dining at Josh's Grill. Love the complimentary bread and unique side dishes here. Food is served piping hot and the price is reasonable. Service is excellent as well. Our waitress Wati is warm, friendly and attentive. 😊
Absolutely enjoyed my time here, I love the seating thats next to the window, where you can see the night street and buildings light up at night beautifully. The service is very good, attended by two different servers. The food is quite pricey for the majority but taste good overall. As for the food, I had ordered AUS black pepper sirloin steak (medium well), the meat is very soft and melts in your mouth perfectly combined with the black pepper sauce, highly recommend to order it with the potato and sour sauce. The drink that i had choosen is "Nature's kiss" which is very refreshing and sweet, absolutely great for people who love the taste of strawberries. The only downside is the chicken wings in the basket, which is too oily but the spice on the wings makes up for it. Otherwise, it is an overall good experience that everyone can enjoy and can come back to in the future.
