Jan & Elly - Phonics & English Tuition Centre | Enrichment Classes SG (Greenwich V)

Enrolling my son in Jan & Elly has been a very good decision. I chose the programme after learning that their phonics classes place strong emphasis on making learning enjoyable, which aligns with my belief that children learn best when they are engaged and motivated. My son looks forward to attending class every week, and despite joining later than his peers in February, he was able to pick up phonics quickly. What I also appreciate about the programme is how teachers brief parents on what was covered in each lesson and share practical tips for revising with our child at home. I believe parent involvement is essential in a child’s learning journey, and I value how the teachers work collaboratively with parents to better support our child’s progress. 😊

We enrolled both of our children (aged 5 and 6) in the phonics classes at Jan & Elly Greenwich, and the progress has been very encouraging. For our elder child, we have seen clear improvements in her blending skills, and her recognition of sight words has expanded significantly. She is now more confident when reading and is able to pick up words more independently. For our younger child, the progress has been just as noticeable. He has become much better at identifying letters and their corresponding sounds, and his handwriting has improved as well, showing better control and formation. Teacher Ning and Teacher Michelle have also been very supportive, providing helpful tips on how we can continue practicing with the kids at home. This has made it easier for us to reinforce what they learn in class. Overall, the classes are structured and engaging, and the teachers create a supportive environment that helps build both skills and confidence in young learners. We’re happy with the progress our children have made so far.

We are very happy with the jan & elly phonics class. My son has shown a lot of improvement after attending the lessons. His pronunciation, confidence in reading, and recognition of sounds and words have improved greatly. He now enjoys reading more at home and is more confident when speaking English. My son was with teacher Chelsea and she had been amazing—she was attentive, encouraging, and clearly dedicated to the children’s progress. I especially appreciate how she provided weekly updates on my son’s performance, either through written notes or verbal feedback, which helped us stay involved in his learning. Since attending the class, my son has picked up strong phonics skills and is now confident in recognizing and producing letter sounds. It’s been very rewarding to see his improvement. I am incredibly happy with the Phoenix class my daughter is attending at Jan and Elly English Language School! She always has great fun and looks forward to every class.
