iti Setouchi

"iti SETOUCHI" is the new symbol of Fukuyama Station. It was created by renovating the site of a former department store (the former Sogo and FPCO RiM) into a complex that combines dining, working, and socializing. Making use of the open space, it provides an environment where people naturally gather and take on challenges. As a member of the Fukuyama Station community, I have planned events here, learned from them, and made new connections. Each store and space is unique, and it is a place where the dreams of those who use it quickly take shape. I sincerely hope that the challenges faced by iti SETOUCHI will lead to challenges for the entire Fukuyama region.

There was a secondhand clothing market today, with vendors from as far away as Kyushu. There were some items I really liked, but the prices were too high for me, so I gave up. (>_

This is the fourth time the facility has reopened, replacing Fukuyama Sogo, Fukuyama Lots, and Rim Fukuyama. Due to the building's aging and the high maintenance costs of the elevators and escalators, it's limited to one floor. The city explained that the revitalization effort was aimed at creating a collection of shops suitable for everyday use, but the mix is ​​confusing: a bicycle shop, a high-end grocery store, and a donut shop. Even Yamato House, which operated Rim Fukuyama, struggled to find tenants, so this building seems like a tough choice. Good Points ◇ I think it's extremely affordable for the station area, including free parking. ◇ The stylish design means the dim lighting even during the day will likely be controversial. Concerns ◆ It gets busy on weekends due to events, but quieter on weekdays, making it worse than the second floor of Fuchu Tenmaya. I hope they make some changes soon. ◆ The parking lot fills up quickly during events, making it impossible to park. ◆ The air conditioning has made it a student hangout. I think it is negligence on the part of the facility management to occupy seats for studying when there are no seats available at events.

"Need the Place" A shop inside the Ichisetouchi facility. Who would have thought that such a shop would be in front of the station? They have a wide selection of carefully selected items. They sell Finnish tableware at unbelievable prices. Their coffee, dried foods, and bread are also delicious. It's a shame that this shop doesn't come up on Google Maps. They've been in business for three years now. I think this place could become more famous. How about renovating the upper floors into single, twin, and double accommodation? The b Akasaka Hotel in Tokyo had a stylish room. If they're aiming for a neuvola, it would be good to have a floor for families. There seems to be a demand for it since it's so close to the station. It's a shame.
