Mr Yeo’s lessons are always informative and clear. I like how he gives everyone feedback on their responses even though our class is relatively large with around 15 students. He answers my queries clearly and provides good feedback on the essays i give him to mark. I eventually got an A for GP and am extremely grateful for his help !

Our heartfelt gratitude to Teacher Alyssa for patiently preparing our son for O Level English exam. She skilfully imparted strategies that worked for him and he appreciates her timely guidance. If he had come under her tutelage much earlier, he would likely have achieved a higher grade.

Mr Liew is an incredible GP teacher who has greatly helped me develop strong answering techniques and essential skills for the subject. His lessons are always engaging and thought-provoking, which has deepened my interest and confidence in GP. His dedication and passion for teaching is evident in the time he takes to stay back for consultations. I truly enjoy and look forward to his classes every week!

mr liew conducts classes here at illume very effectively, targeting key points whilst putting himself in the position of a student doing questions himself. i appreciate my liew for helping with my gp through this year and taking time outside of his classes to run consults for us. the notes illume uses are also very targetted and concise, making revision for gp much easier. amazing teacher and centre.

Before joining illume, my GP grade was always hovering around 40-50% due to a lack of understanding of the syllabus and the purpose of GP as a subject. But through Mr Liew’s classes, he has taught me exactly what markers look out for and how to efficiently convey an understanding of my immediate society and the world at large, allowing me to bump up my grades to a B at prelims. Though not an A, it is still a vast improvement from my grade at promos and i am thoroughly impressed with the journey i have made with Mr Liew and illum.e in general. Another thing that has to be commended is his general attention to each and every person in his classes, though lessons have increased in size from when i have first joined, he still takes the time and effort to encourage us to meet him for consults and give feedback on our work.
