I’ve been meaning to write this review for three months but only just found the time! The food was nicely prepared. Service was smooth. The only downside was that the table felt a bit too small, especially when our dishes arrived, it was slightly cramped trying to fit everything comfortably. The environment was also quite noisy, which made it a little hard to have a proper conversation.

Love how casual ambience combines with great food! Visited Humpback by chance and had their Happy Hour Oysters at $2/$3 per piece. They may be small, but man, they packed a punch! I had 20! We also super enjoyed the Squid tempura. Man! The best I had had! I also liked how generous they were with their crab for the crab pasta. Service was great! Will come again!

Went for the happy hour oysters and drinks, which were great value. Several things worth noting: • Pricing was very reasonable at $2–$3 per oyster until 7pm, and drinks happy hour also ran until 7pm, making it a really worthwhile deal. • The oyster selection was good, with four different varieties to choose from, each offering distinct flavour profiles. The oysters were sourced from Washington in the United States and British Columbia in Canada, and my favourite was the Golden Mantle Cold Creek. • The staff were super attentive and helpful in making our birthday celebration special. They even printed out a photo and paired it with a handwritten birthday card, which was a really thoughtful touch. • For the mains: 1. The King Crab Trofie pasta is a must-order. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sweet, briny king crab meat paired really well with the rich sauce, making it a standout dish. 2. The sea urchin cacio e pepe was decent, but didn’t quite work for me. The black pepper was quite strong and overpowered the dish, masking the flavour of the noodles and sea urchin. The cheese on top added some richness, but overall the balance of flavours wasn’t quite there. • They also offer a 4-course dinner for one at $65, available only on selected weekdays. For more details, it’s best to check directly with the restaurant. • The location and ambience in the Bukit Pasoh shophouse area also made for a really nice backdrop for our patio seats and overall dining experience.

Lovely spot. Only problem is that it's not wheelchair accessible (though we managed to make it work by accessing from the adjacent unit, but it's challenging). I really love the oysters and the pork. The vegetables were great, but a bit under seasoned and lacking character. But the char on them all really ties them together and gives the roasty smokey taste. Love the blend of flavours and use of ingredients across all the dishes.

Service was prompt and efficient, Shokupan was fresh , soft and flavourful. So far it’s the best oysters I ever had with 4 varieties to choose from , it’s a public holiday , hence its happy hour the whole day ! Ambience was chill and cozy , prawns were cook to perfection , iberico pork were soft and succulent with good quality marinated sauce . Raw scallops were fresh and sweet. Overall we had a great time and meal over there and would be our go to place for oysters !
