Very interesting architecture and lovely focus on art in the lobby. Rooms are a good size and large bathrooms. Breakfast buffet is extensive with a cook to order section and good range of western and Korean food. It has a small bar. Gym, pool and sauna. Located across from the convention centre.

A very unique hotel. Looks kinda goofy from the outside with all the windows but great hotel overall. I was surprised to see a window in the bathroom to the sleeping area but cool design nonetheless. Wired internet and wifi available in the rooms with a really solid connection. I didn't even try to use the TV but they seem to have a decent amount of entertainment options. Unfortunately the gym was closed because they close on the first Tuesday of every month but based on the convenience store in the lobby and other amenities, all facilities seem more than adequate. The staff were super nice, respectful, and accommodating. There were art installations all around and they were cool and matched the vibe of the hotel nicely. There are a few cages around the hotel in walking distance and it's right across from a convention center so this is a great option if attending an event there.

This Holiday Inn in Gwangju seriously punches above its weight. Forget old school stereotypes of North American HIs, this is a real 4+ star hotel in every way that matters. The service is exceptional, genuinely warm, and the staff went above and beyond at every interaction. The rooms are modern, beautifully kept, and incredibly quiet, making it easy to rest even in the middle of the city. Location is excellent, with everything you need close by, yet the hotel feels calm and insulated from noise. Overall, it delivers comfort, professionalism, and care at a level that easily reflects one of the best stays I’ve had in Korea.

It might be the best 4-star hotel around. I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. Although many people in Korea don’t speak English, I can say there was no language barrier during my stay—the staff were not only friendly but also very helpful. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options for every taste. Long story short: for my next visits to Gwangju, I think I’ll stay at this hotel again.

Rooms are dated. Room on top 10th floor had stains all over the floor. Old carpeting. Toxic artificial air freshener smell throughout hotel. Also the sauna entrance fee was 20,000. A girl at front desk said 12,000 and then when got to sauna, found it was 20,000. It was not posted anywhere. But I was very annoyed at the high prices for a hotel sauna that should be free for guests, and the price mistake at front desk. Breakfast was extensive but the quality felt poor and they were so busy, the cooking of some foods felt off. The over easy eggs were terribly cooked, nice to have steamed pumpkin except it was overcooked along with the steamed yams. Room for improvement.
