This was our first time to Egypt, and our first time booking a private tour. We compared many tour guides and ended up with Go Luxor because Michael was responsive and understood our needs. We found their guides, drivers, and cars were all amazing. Michael was able to customize our tour based on our interests (we want to see more of the museums and famous temples), and Michael fully accommodated our needs, plans, and pace. We visited Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel, and Luxor. At the last minute, we wanted to change the trip to return to Cairo earlier to visit the old Egyptian museum, and Michael helped make it happen. We learned a lot from this tour. The driver was safe and reliable. Highly recommended!

My wife and I embarked on our first trip to Egypt with the guidance of Go Luxor Tours and I would recommend them to anyone traveling to Egypt. They were recommended by some friends of ours, who had only good things to say about them and they were right! Michael planned our itinerary and worked with us to make the perfect trip. He has been doing this for several years and has a vast knowledge and experience with giving private tours to many locations in Egypt. We began our trip in Giza with Yehya, our initial guide and a studying egyptologist. He was amazing, knowledgeable, patient, fun, and answered any question I threw at him. We always had a driver to get us to where we needed to go, so we never needed to think about transportation or flights. It was all arranged of for us by Michael. Additionally, we had the pleasure of having Michael as our private tour guide for Aswan and Luxor, where we sailed the Nile on a felucca boat, visited the Nubians, held young crocodiles, ate amazing food everyday, and visited many, many temples and sites. Having Michael and Yehya steering our journey was invaluable to learn about the cultures, the history of ancient Egypt, and to navigate the many vendors and customs of the cities. When selecting hotels, Michael was able to recommend great hotels which accommodated our budget. During the trip, he would also recommend that we visit additional sites or shops that we would never had known about while planning the trip. He was flexible in a way that allowed us to change and re-prioritize some of our itinerary during the trip, as well. Michael was very personable, knowledgeable, fun, and a great guide and trip planner and I can't imagine this trip being the success that it was without him. We had an amazing experience with Go Luxor Tours. We booked a tour of the Luxor West Bank (Valley of the kings/hatshepsut temple/habu temple/colossi of memnon). Our tour guide Michael was top notch and shared an abundance of information about each of the places we visited. We felt a true understanding of each of the locations due to the thorough explanations. Everything was perfectly planned and executed according to the itinerary. Additionally, Mike is a great photographer and was able to capture unforgettable moments at each of the places we visited. Overall a great experience with great communication before, during and after the tour.

We had an outstanding experience with Go Luxor Tours, and I can’t say enough good things about our main contact, Michael. For the six months leading up to our trip, Michael worked closely with us to accommodate all of our needs—which were many, as we were a group of 11 ranging in age from 1 year old to 75 years old. He was patient, responsive, and incredibly thoughtful in his planning. All transportation was very well organized, with professional drivers and clean, comfortable vehicles. Each day flowed smoothly, with a great balance between guided touring and free time to explore on our own. We never felt rushed, overwhelmed with information, or stuck on overly long tours. When we arrived in Egypt, Michael and Aya were flexible and accommodating with start and finish times, which made a big difference when traveling with such a diverse group. Our itinerary took us from Cairo to Aswan, Abu Simbel, back to Aswan, and then on a Nile cruise through Edfu to Luxor. From there, Michael arranged transportation to Hurghada, where we relaxed for four days before flying back to Cairo to continue touring. This itinerary was Michael’s recommendation, and in hindsight it was a huge benefit. The few days in Hurghada allowed us to recharge, making the rest of the trip even more enjoyable. We also appreciated the flexibility Go Luxor Tours offered. We booked our own hotels and had the freedom to choose our own restaurants at times, while still having excellent support. Whenever we asked for recommendations, Michael and Aya were always helpful and spot-on. Michael was even able to accommodate a last minute request for our crew to take a hot air balloon ride - which was incredible and a trip highlight for all. One thing worth noting for future travelers is the payment process. Deposits are made months in advance via PayPal or money wire, which initially felt a little unusual to us since we typically book travel through websites using a standard credit card. That said, everything was handled professionally and transparently, and we felt comfortable as the process moved forward. All in all, this was a 10/10 trip, and we can’t recommend Michael and his team at Go Luxor Tours enough. Traveling in Egypt with a large, multi-generational group felt seamless and well cared for from start to finish.

I experienced the best vacation of my life with Go Luxor Tours! Our guides Mike and Aya were so incredibly knowledgeable and made learning about all the ancient history captivating. They also were excellent photographers who captured every moment for us. Our drivers made us feel safe and at ease while traveling all over the country. Whenever we had any extra requests outside of the tour Mike went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and happy with every single aspect of our trip overall.
