I chanced upon this bistro while browsing Google Maps this morning and decided to pay it a visit after work. The mushroom soup was delicious, with a rich and creamy consistency. The mushroom flavour was well balanced, giving it a savoury and comforting taste. The topshell had a springy and succulent texture with a delicate sweetness from the seafood. Every bite was fresh and satisfying. The BBQ baby pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, glazed with a smoky and slightly sweet barbecue sauce that delivered a rich and satisfying flavour in every bite. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and a nice find for an after-work meal.

Googled this place for an escape lunch — trying new places and exploring new makan experiences. It had a solid 4.5 ⭐️ review, so expectations were naturally there. My personal experience: 1. Off-the-beaten-track charm with a rustic bar vibe. There’s a large pond in view from the restaurant, which gave the place a very peaceful and charming atmosphere overall. 2. Indoor air-conditioned seating made for a nice escape from our scorching weather. The décor was modest. There was a high-table area beside large windows that unfortunately ended up being used to store loose items. Not exactly an eyesore, but it did take away a little from the overall aesthetic charm. The bar area itself looked pretty cute though. 3. F&B felt overpriced considering the location, especially since it’s not the most accessible place by public transport. 4. We ordered: - Yuzu honey — tasted good, similar to those sold in Korean stores. - Iced chocolate — pleasant enough, though I’m almost certain it came from a sachet mix. - Mushroom soup — tasty, but way too watered down. - Beer battered cod — acceptable overall. The batter was harder than expected, though the fries were actually quite nice: slim and crispy. Overall, I don’t think I’d make a special trip down just to dine here again. Total damage for 2 cod, 1 soup and 2 drinks came up to about $90 after GST and service charge.

This bar is a little out of the way, especially for those taking public transport. Despite the location, prices of alcohol were not competitive. A pint of mainstream beer costs $12.50-15++. But do check out their Happy Hours on Mon-Thu, 12-8pm. Ambience was OK. The owner Mark was very friendly and chatty.

Came on a Sunday afternoon, there was only one other table around. Weather was blazing hot so settled for indoor seats. Will imagine that if the weather is cooler or nearing sunset, the outdoor seats should be some vibes of such, with the dining area overlooking a mini fish pond. Ordered their ribs, carbonara, wings, clams pasta, fish and chips and truffle fries. Wings impressed us the most! Was well marinated and piping hot and crispy when served. The pitcher iced tea is also a good deal and so good on a sweltering hot day!

I ordered chicken chop. The food was well plated, portions were generally generous and most importantly delicious. The frenches were fried golden and very crispy too! Yummy. Went there on a hot afternoon, and weated throughout my lunch, LOL. Felt stuffy and hot despite only 2 tables of customers. The waitress forgot our drinks orders and was always trying to rush off before we complete our sentences / orders. But overall was we got our food.
