I had an extremely disappointing experience with the agency Gandke. It started with less-than-ideal communication, which initially led me to think – well, maybe I should have provided some content... even though the plan was to optimize my existing Ads account with its existing ads and copy. Without consulting me, they launched a new campaign that not only contained incorrect text (therapy instead of coaching) but also completely ignored conversion tracking. Then, site links I had requested were created with incorrect labels and weren't corrected despite my pointing it out. The error message from Google Tag Manager stating that the Google Tag was inactive went unnoticed or ignored, and despite my notification, they continued to disregard it. After about three weeks of declining sales, I took matters into my own hands and rebuilt my campaigns. My campaigns immediately launched with an optimization score of approximately 90%, compared to the 65% of the campaign Gandke set up, which contained only a single ad. While trying to resolve the Google Tag issue, I finally contacted my web design agency, but they couldn't find any errors on the website – the Google code was still correctly implemented. I then discovered that Gandke had used the wrong domain in the new campaign – a similar-sounding domain that I own, but it contained outdated content and was currently being redesigned. This domain had never been used in this Ads account and isn't linked to any of my online presences. The agency showed absolutely no insight, even though at least one serious error had been made: targeting an WRONG domain – one never used in the account and therefore not linked to my account (Google Tag). This should have been noticed at the very latest by a supposedly professional Google Ads agency, given the error message that the Google Tag wasn't active. But no – not even my pointing this out led them to consider that Gandke's work might be the cause. And even if this smug attitude had been justified, it would be anything but customer- and goal-oriented to ignore such a mistake and continue "burning" MY MONEY on this flawed campaign – and by redirecting potential customers to this outdated domain, not only failing to generate any bookings but also damaging my reputation. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment, apology, or even an offer of compensation from Gandke. Only my extraordinary, immediate termination of the contract was accepted. Overall, an absolutely unacceptable performance and inadequate support. This is not what considerate, client-focused work looks like. I cannot recommend this agency.
