Gain City Megastore (Sungei Kadut)

30Mar26, Mon - got to Gaincity Sungei Kadut close to 7pm so had little time to shop before it closes at 10pm. Managed to only look at 2 out of 5 floors (there's L1-4, L7). We were looking for an automated laundry rack, and Shawn Chong from YuHome assisted us well. He shared that YuHome is a Singapore brand that has been in the market for 8 years, and explained the difference between YuHome, Eikou (which we saw on L4) and the well-known Steigen. Decided to go with YuHome AirMax (one of their latest models) at an offer price of $629 and seemingly more flexible and practical than Eikou. Also got their extended 3yr onsite warranty for $150 (Shawn said usual price $300+). By leaving a Google review and informing them, we can upgrade our laundry system's motor warranty from 5yrs to lifetime warranty. After that, around 8.55pm, we then asked one of the staff how to get to the eatery. He looked at his watch and said we may have a higher chance (of getting food) from L3 canteen (turned out to be Lucky Cuisine). Place and food were decent. Filipino lady mopping the floor and clearing dishes was cheery and nice. I was surprised to see affordable sintered stone tables for sale there as well as sofas. Maybe no need to buy from JB already? Last shuttle bus fr L4 to Yew Tee mrt is at 10-10.10pm and we were recommended to be there before 10pm. Pick up from Yew Tee mrt is around every 15mins and the bus stops right at the front of exit C bus stop near the overhead bridge.

Purchased under the groupbuy and the whole experience was wonderful! Good one stop for everything, especially appliance related items. Mdm Judy attended to me patiently, demonstrating excellent product knowledge across various brands and providing clear, honest recommendations based on my needs. Despite spending a long time explaining and demonstrating the products, I did not make a purchase then, and she remained courteous and fully respected my decision. I returned again with my husband, and Mdm Judy gladly assisted us once more, repeating the demonstration patiently. When we later mentioned that we were looking for a dehumidifier instead, she was happy to help, offered knowledgeable recommendations, and guided us to suitable options. We eventually made a purchase. She even went the extra mile by helping to trolley the item to our car as it was heavy. The real highlight, however, was the service provided by staff code **12023**. His patience and willingness to explain the details of the products were truly impressive. He answered all my questions clearly and helped me find exactly what I needed. Additionally, I managed to pick up a wonderful frying pan as well. Everything was perfect from start to finish.
