I contacted Gabriel Design because I needed help with the creation of a blog/database for my PhD project at the University of Bern. I was very pleased with their work. They did a superb job creating the blog for my project; I gave them a lot of details regarding the specificities of the database and they were able to create something that was not only functional, but had a great design that met my demands. I came to Gabriel Design with a deceptively simple project: the complete overhaul of my academic website. I came with a set of complex demands, however: the website should look professional but not corporate; it should be comprehensive (of my work) but not over-loaded; it should feel fresh while also incorporating some old content. I also had a very clear idea of my own design aesthetic and so needed someone willing to work collaboratively with me. Throughout the process, Gabriel Design was organized, creative, productive and incredibly patient, finding the right balance between understanding my needs/preferences and keeping the website effective and good-looking.
