Hosted our extended family to dinner here. Trying out this Chinese (teochew) restaurant for the first time. Booked a private room for 2 tables. Pre-ordered apprletizer, selected soup, mains including steam fish, typhoon prawns, wagyu beef, oyster omelette, asparagus, tofu, teochew style fried kway teow with preserved veg (and deep fried pork lard bits). The food was above expectations. Service staff was very attentive and friendly. Angel was the restaurant manager who took our reservations and preorder did a great job in making the whole dinner an enjoyable one for the whole group.

Celebrate Mother’s Day here in Fu Yuan with Teochew food but in modern Chinese dishes. Not the typical Teochew cuisine. The standout for me was the Crispy “Bing Chuan” Brinjal, crisp on the outside while staying soft and flavourful inside. Something like Nian gao texture 😁 The grilled Kurobuta black char siew has a caramelised sweetness but will be good if served in smaller cut. The herbal chicken has herbal aroma while the steamed fish was fresh and well seasoned. The lobster fried rice was fragrant and, pairing nicely with other dishes. Also enjoyed the Teochew-style pan-fried oyster and braised tofu with dried scallops & sea cucumber The taro “Orh Nee” ended the meal perfectly — smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. Service was delightful & well executed by the staffs

Had such a wonderful dim sum experience at 馥苑 Fu Yuan Teochew Dining Clarke Quay. Every dish was made with quality ingredients and you can truly taste the freshness in every bite. Their handmade dim sum is freshly crafted daily using traditional techniques by a Guangdong chef with more than 20 years of experience, which really shows in both the flavour and presentation. I especially love how they blend traditional dim sum with a modern touch. The restaurant has such a stylish and cozy atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing meal with family and friends. Great food, warm ambience and beautifully presented dishes, definitely a place worth coming back to for authentic Teochew and Cantonese dining in Clarke Quay. Ange L and YiQing were very thoughtful and friendly in recommending the dishes. Thank you for the experience.

I had an outstanding dining experience at Fu Yuan Restaurant — a true celebration of Teochew cuisine. From start to finish everything was exemplary: the service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, the atmosphere felt inviting and comfortably elegant, and every dish showcased the delicate, fresh flavors that make Teochew food so special. The raw seafood and cold platters arrived beautifully presented and tasted incredibly clean and bright — each ingredient clearly very fresh. The steamed fish was perfectly cooked: tender, moist, and subtly seasoned to highlight the natural sweetness of the fish. The braised dishes carried the right balance of umami and aromatics, with thoughtfully layered flavors rather than heavy sauces. I especially loved the signature Teochew-style tofu and the braised goose — both were deeply satisfying without feeling greasy. Portions were generous and ideal for sharing, making it easy to try a variety of dishes. The rice and soups complemented the mains wonderfully and were clearly made with care. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and freshness delivered. Overall, Fu Yuan Restaurant is an excellent choice for anyone seeking authentic Teochew flavors prepared with skill and respect for ingredients. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to friends and family. Five stars!
