I finally got to visit Free Design, a shop I'd been wanting to visit for years. Stepping inside, I was greeted by a sophisticated space filled with tasteful tableware and miscellaneous goods—so beautiful it took my breath away. There were many items with a Scandinavian feel and high-quality designs that I wanted to incorporate into my daily life; just looking at them filled my heart with joy. It's no wonder that other reviews mention things like, "The display is beautiful, like an art gallery," and "You can feel the attention to detail in each item." Every item is carefully selected, and they're all things you'll want to cherish and use for a long time. It was such a comfortable place that I lost track of time, and it's a wonderful shop I'd want to visit again and again. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves tableware or wants to enrich their life a little.
Despite being a fair featuring one-of-a-kind vintage items, the operating rules were not standardized, and I found it questionable that purchasing rights were determined not on a first-come, first-served basis but rather by the strength of one's insistence. I visited the vintage Lisa Larson fair. I had been looking for a product for about three years, so I lined up before the store opened and was second to enter. There were no special rules announced, and I immediately picked up the item I was looking for after entering. A customer who had entered the store after me called out to a store clerk and explained that the rule was that items were not to be picked up directly. There was a small sign inside the store that said, "Please do not pick up items, but speak to a store clerk," so I returned the item to the shelf at their request. The customer then informed the clerk of their intention to purchase the item, and as a result, the person who entered the store after me and touched the item later secured and purchased it. I was disappointed, but thought it was unavoidable if that was the rule. However, a few minutes later, the clerk allowed another customer to pick up the item and look at it directly. The rules were not being applied consistently. In a place dealing with one-of-a-kind vintage items, the order in which people lined up and the order in which people actually moved around were not taken into consideration, which I felt lacked fairness. I would like the rules to be clearly and consistently applied to all customers.
